Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

Rolln, that article was complete and utter garbage. It relied fully on the assertions that certain people were doing things, but nothing was proven in any stretch of the imagination. I felt like I was reading a petty gossip rag. It then cited 2 or three people who had views that didn't condemn pedophilia, and suddenly academia is moving towards a growing trend of accepting pedophilia? Hardly!!! What complete nonsense!

Rolln, that doesn't protect a pedophile if they go after a child, but I suppose it would protect a pedophile if they were targeted to be killed or something. What you posted does not at all state that pedophilia is a sexual orientation, nor that the APA holds that view.
No, prophet, if I post something that doesn't make sense, it simply means I need to clarify. There is absolutely no reason to call me a fool, other than you're just being mean. Why is that?

Prophet, and you just said that you flagged me because of it! I will not get over the fact that you're choosing to chastise me if I get angry or out of line, but say NOTHING to Rolln if he does. Why is that?
Rolln, please go back to school and get a degree in psychology. You need to understand the fundamental differences being sexual orientation (something we all have) and pedophilia (a psychotic behavior.) Pedophiles are not sexually oriented to men or women, they are attracted to children in general.
DP, perhaps not traits, but I do believe personality has a large prenatal factor as judged by babies who are colicky v. babies who are calm as could be. Those indicators have been proven to stick with the child through their lives.

Forgiven, if a Christian is honestly trying to share the love of God with me, I will know, and I can see in your post that you are. There are many on here who claim to be Christians but really just get off on their thinking they are in a place to condemn other human beings. These people completely refuse to look at or even acknowledge their own sins, and they are the ones who blatantly chose lies over truth when it comes to science (which I think can be well blended with Christianity.) Those are the people who infuriate me, because their message is certainly not of Christ.
Again DP, not at all what I said, but thanks for playing.

Delight, how very typical to say its out fault that we get bullied in school and jumped on the streets, kind of like its a woman's fault for getting hit if she disobeys she husband, right? I am not saying Christians are the perpetrators, but I am saying that if religion didn't misinterpret the Bible which translates to people hating and fearing gays, we wouldn't be in the predicament we are. There isn't a single study not tied to a Christian group that says gays are pedophiles (or I should say, not a valid one that has been peer reviewed.) Christian backed "studies" spread lies, fear, and hatred, but very covertly, and it is absolutely sickening to me.

Delight, I'm not sexually immoral, and yes, Rolln needs to work on himself. Its a shame none of you will take a stand for righteousness and call him out when he is so clearly out of line. That's why I don't believe that love the sinner hate the sin nonsense. Its very clear you're against gays, so if one of your own is being mean and name calling, you're not going to say anything as long as its directed towards someone who is gay.
Rolln, saying shame on you is certainly not mean. You again are trying to slander me, but you shame yourself. Again, if you're so certain people can change, lead by example brother.
Mike, you could not be farther from the truth. There are many straight couples who have anal sex, and it isn't something they learned from gays. Sorry, but "an easier sell" doesn't hold up when it comes to the fight for equality, and I really don't care if you don't want me to get married. Its not some exclusive club, and you are certainly not the bouncer. I am fighting for civil marriage, which does not have Biblical roots, whatsoever. If you have a problem with me fighting for those rights, you're going to have to fight through civil law, where your current arguments simply will not be accepted. Just in case it was being implied, I did not delete any of your posts. I'd rather people be able to see where you stand.

Forgiven, I fully blame people who have grossly misinterpreted the Bible to condemn homosexuality as the fundamental cause for violence against the gay community.

Rolln, it is so very sad to me that you call yourself a Christian, yet cannot take the heat when someone calls you out on a very unChristian aspect of yours. There is nothing babyish about what I have said. You do not represent yourself as a Christian, and you need to work on that if its what you truly feel you are. As I have said, if you're so sure people can change, then lead by example.

...rachel, I'm focusing on that fact that you're making gays sound like we're all hate mongering foul mouthed nincompoops, and yes, that is going to get me going. Gay marriage is a big deal to me, but if it doesn't effect you and you claim that you don't care, why are you against it? So what if you think its sin? Raise your family the way I see fit, I'll raise mine, and I'll see you in Heaven someday.
Really? Tell me when and who.

Neither of those are truths, your arguments continue to grow more infantile.

I've studied plenty, and nowhere does Christ act like some of you folks on this board who insist on being insulting.

Rachel, I have never heard a gay person say they're the only ones who are abused. To imply such is a blatant lie.
Prophet...no one said anything about the cause of skin color being similar to the cause of sexual orientation....ever. Nice try.

Mike, AIDS did not originate in the gay community. You can choose to believe that lie if you wish, but again, we're all laughing right back at you. If ignorance is bliss, you must be freaking thrilled!

Rachel, you said gays are bitter. Simply not true. We are infuriated and frustrated beyond belief when people lie about us and try to tell us that our life experiences are invalid and wrong, as if they could possibly know.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
