Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
Lofg, I am sure you have learned much from family radio and personally I enjoy listening to their music via the radio; however, when Camping comes on I change the station. You stated that what you have learned comes from the Bible; I disagree; from what I gather Harold Camping leans heavily on numerology which he calculated the end of the world in 1994. He was wrong then and he is wrong now. Yo...more

You are correct when you say that judgment will begin with the house of God [1 Peter 4:17] and again I agree that the Temple in 2 Thessalonians 2 is the Church rather than a rebuilt Jewish Temple. Most expositors of Holy Scripture have come to that conclusion. Once again I agree that Revelation 17 & 18 is not referring to literal Babylon [modern day Iraq]; both Isaiah and Jeremiah say that ancient Babylon would never be rebuilt [Isaiah 13:19-23 & Jeremiah 51:35-40]. Q: What will your view be on Harold Camping when you find yourself here May 22 of this year?less
Lofg, for one I am not the one looking outside of the Bible; you are by standing on the false teachings of Harold Camping and two my post said absolutely nothing of the Temple. Three you make the assumption that I believe that the Temple mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2 refers to a rebuilt Jewish Temple; sorry but that is not what I believe.

This parable is one of a series of parables that actually begins in Luke chapter 15:1-2; the Pharisees who were present believed among other things that being rich was the blessing of God and the sign of his favor while the poor lived under God’s curse. So, in this parable [the Rich Man and Lazarus] Jesus merely flipped things around by having the poor man saved and the rich man was lost.
At the end of this parable Jesus declared that if they [the publicans, sinners, and Pharisees of Luke 15:1-2] did not listen to Moses and the prophets neither would they listen if one rose from the dead. Q: Why did Jesus specifically use the name Lazarus? It is interesting that Jesus later would resurrect Lazarus, yet this miracle did not convince the Pharisees that He was the Messiah.less
Lof, putting your trust in the words of Harold Camping will only lead to disappointment....This is not the first time Harold has set a date for Christ’s return; he said Jesus would return in 1994 and now he is saying May 21st of this year…Put your trust in no man… “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” [Matthew 24:36].
