DEBATE on what?- weather a homsexual be made the leader in church or not? Dont they " read and carry " their Bibles while framing any rules and regulations of church?. The church which is called to be light and salt of the earth is groping for answers in the dark.

Yes, the debate will prolong to another century because " they " have closed the Bible which was their only light in the darkness.

I am surprised at the number of votes in support for the so called " chrisitan Gay leaders" during the so called resolution at ELCA annual meet . Any resolutions about leadership and matters related to the church must be made and passed guided by biblical framework and principle and not outside of it. By giving authority to man, the ELCA seems to have dethroned the authority of the scriptures and enthroned majority as the " king ". its indeed heartbreaking to see "the church" which is called to be the light and salt of the earth loosing its saltiness and groping in darkness for answers.

I am not a homo-basher neither I am in support for it. Homosexuality needs to be treated and not exalted. Every homosexual person needs to be helped, counselled and guided to 'return home' to natural function which God has created for sacred purpose. Discipline is a part of this restoration process.

TUPARBABE, my freind :) The doctrine of eternal security is not a "license" to sin. that is not the essence of its message. It is solely based and related to christ work upon the cross and his resurrection from the dead. No one is half saved and left to save themselves another half.No human can add or subtract for their eternal salvation. when you say a believers salvation is conditional (based on our behaviour/good works) then you are " emptying " the work of the cross. the verses you quoted about " chrisitians" going to hell is for wicked/ fake ones who appears to call Jesus as lord but inwardly has never repented and beleived in christ as their lord and savior. Though a believer will fall in sin, he/she (true beleivers) will always return and restored with godly sorrow and repentance to the lord (1 John 1:8 - 2:1). if you think your salvation is conditional, what will you do if you fail to keep his command completly?. The Apostle Paul addresses this issue in "Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?" (Galatians 3:3,)

lets be assured in the following verses:

"He is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. " (Hebrews 7:25). When you trust Jesus completely, He is "able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy" (Jude 24; Romans 10:9-13). So rest and be assured my dear one in christour savior.

First rescue the hostages by meeting their demands. Have an ariel view or implant chips within the released prisoners secretly. locate their secret locations and whereabouts. create a buffer zone and then go for action.

Thankyou Dr.graham ,salvation army and all the churches that are supporting in times of such disasters. Many countries dont have such previlages as this where church comes forward with all compassion and expertise. the church is indeed a light in dark times. I pray and wish that soon my nation will also have such churches, people and leaders meeting in the valleys.

  • Saudi Arabia Traps Christian Surgeon for Faith in Jesus

Let's take the issue seriously especially the appeal mentioned in the last para of the article :
" ICC and Fahmy are requesting that people contact the Saudi embassy to inform them of the growing awareness of Saudi Arabia’s human rights violation in this case "

This is the oppurtunity to step out and help those who wants to come out of " religious opression ". Who knows, there maybe many more out there who wants to come out to the arms of christ. once a legislation of freedom of religion is passed to practise, profess and preach, then mighty doors will be opened in that country. " Rivers in the desert will we see "

  • Analysis: Should Force Be Used to Save Remaining Korean Hostages?

Ammon 86, I appreciate your response dear brother regarding the "Blood of martyrs is the seed of the church". If the lord permits then Its an honor to die for the lord but also know that its also honorable to live for him.

Now, there is a diffrence between interceeding and testing the lord. Testing is mocking to see God's ability to save. Praying that the lord will grant his supernatural intervention is not the same as testing his ability to perform it. Infact, In intercession, we expect that the lord is soverign and all powerful and that is why we ask him to intervene. the problem is not with God's ability but our ability to beleive that he can do it. Jesus did say " Not my will but yours be done"? why? becuase he alone knew the complete will of God and he affirmed with his father. But in our case we dont know " everything ", we can pray and expect like the believers of the first century where they earnestly prayed not for peter's death in prison but his rescue. when God did intervene they still did not beleive that peter is standing at the door and knocking (Acts 12). take a look at this prayer of the first century christians " why do nations rage and peoples plot in vain?.....Now lord consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word...strech out your hand to heal and perform miracolous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus .after they prayed the place they were meeting was shaken "(Acts 4:25-31). In this case if we know fully God has decided them to be martyred then lets all say without a second thought "not my will but yours be done" but if not, then lets keep on interceeding and expecting his intervention.

There are two plan strategy that I see from the scriptures that maybe be applied :

    1. Expect a supernatural intervention to release our brothers and sisters. Example: IN the book of acts when peter was chained and heavily guarded in the prisont he bible says that the church prayed unceasingly and the angels rescued them. (Dont you think that it still applies today?)
    2. Enquire of God as a nation about how the military must attack the enemy. People with tthe prophetical giftings can play an important role in directing and planning the strategy or ask God to give the spiritual knowledge and wisdom to direct a plan of rescue. the old testament is replete with examples of strategic wars which God guided the nation of Israel through prophets and kings when they sought the face of the lord earnestly. God says "if you seek me you will find me "
