The girl is being brainwashed with her mother's faith, as opposed to being allowed to mature mentally before being exposed to any world-views. And thus being unable to evaluate all the evidence (or lack there of) for herself and form her own critical opinions and beliefs. The forced indoctrination of children into their parents' world-view and belief system is the single greatest source of evil in the world. If fosters intolerance and extremism, and thus terrorism.
Secular humanism isn't a faith, it's a stance that for a state to be fair and just and accommodate all the world-views of a multicultural society, it must itself be free of all faiths and world-views.

At least he has the decency to thank the surgeons and not give all the credit to God.
You'd think though that if God existed, he/she/it wouldn't give one of their drones a heart condition to begin with...

It's not the girl's home-schooling that was the problem per se, it was that she was being taught exclusively by her brainwashed mother. Hopefully in a public school, she'll be exposed to other cultures with different religions and learn how interchangeable, meaningless and completely unrelated to happiness and fulfilment faith really is.
Though I fear at 10 years of age, it may already be too late and she will suffer the spiritual dibilitation of her mother's sinful indoctrination for the rest of her life :(

Kudos to the YEC crazies for highlighting exactly why no-one should take the Bible seriously. Keep up the good work guys!

Another win for secularism. Society is clearly evolving beyond the need for superstition.

Shame poor girl. Sounds like she's been profusely brainwashed with her mother's silly superstition since day one. Going to a real school in the real world will be good for her.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
