When a Christian person opposes a gay person's right to have a job, a home, health insurance, freedom from violence, marriage and even "fun" (protest Disneyland because they let gay people ride the rides too?!?!) it makes your claim to love the sinner pretty hollow. I have no problem with Christians following their Bible but gay and lesbians should have no fewer right under the law than any other citizen. America is supposed to be about freedom not repression.

Of course old fossils like us arent going to having these lovely chats much longer seeing how 70% of Americans under the age of 25 support gay rights including marriage. Just like racism and anti-semitism, homophobia represents an intolerant viewpoint that is on its last legs.

So we get the message. Christians support violence against innocent gays and lesbians while hiding behind their own hate crime protections.

By aligning themselves with Akinola conservative Anglicans are clearly voicing their support for the persecution and imprisonment of gay people. Sounds alot more like Iran than America to me.
