Hmmm...some not-so-nice comments. Well, here's another: The only sad thing about today's inaugural... the cheering crowds drowned out the sound of the door hitting George Bush in the butt as he left town. Good riddance!!

Chuckle...chuckle. All seriousness aside. Don't you love the way the word "marriage" in these articles is always placed in parentheses as a suggestion that none of us actually know what the word "marriage" means. So..here's a question. Suppose we eliminate the word sex from our definition of marriage. Not all marriages include sex. Some marriages between senior citizens have evolved into platonic relationships. Some marriages are actually done for economic reasons, or to allow a foreigner to gain access to this country and the scenarios can go on and on and on. So, suppose two homosexuals decide to form a union... without sex. Can we then call it a marriage like other 'marriages' where sex is not a factor. Just wondering. Or, can it be if we get to that enlightened place, will it just take the fun out of the debate and eliminate our whipping boy. And to that person who just will not visit California because of it's positiion on gay marriage: trust me, they won't miss you, so send me your ticket. You see, I know and have come to appreciate the meaning of: Mind your own business and live and let live.

I repeat: "Ministers" like Hagee need to be tarred, feathered and given their wlking papers. You wouldn't catch me in any church he pastored. GOD save us from clergy like Hagee. I find amusing though; the thoughts of Hagee finally making his way to the Pearly Gates and when the gets to what he thinks is his reserved seat, someone else is sitting in it. Preferably a Catholic...would serve him right! LOL
I feel much like Canadian Christian. I was a borderline Christian before I saw the movie and I still have to force myself to watch it because it causes so much emotional distress. How can anyone, Protestant or Catholic think this movie was made and promoted as a vehicle to glorify Mary? The movie was titled "The Passion of the Christ" not...the Suffering of Mary. And how could Gibson have eliminated to Mother of God from the movie, just to placate Protestants? Remember folks: It's not about you or me or the man in the moon, it's about the worship of Jesus Christ.
Personally, I , and I'm sure others get weary of this constant back and forth bickering about and between Protestants and Catholics as to who is the better believers and worshipers of the LORD.And by the way, If it weren't for the split from the Eastern Church, neither Catholicism nor it's off-shoot;Protestantism would exist today. We're ALL God's children, so maybe the "sibling rivalry" should cease...no?

I get a kick out of articles that pertain to Gay marriage. They always put the word marriage in quotation marks...to inform us for the nth time; "they" ( whoever "they" may be) need to remind us yet again, that two homosexuals living together in happiness isn't a true or real "marriage" when a lot of heterosexuals are trapped in anything BUT a real "marriage" where love and respect and commitment prevail. When I went to nursing school, we were taught that a marriage and family were whatever the people involved in it said it was. If their explanation of marriage and family is good enough for the homosexuals involved in it, why isn't it good enough for the rest of us mortals? I say, let God sort it out. He might be more forgiving than we think...maybe?

My two cents: Seen it, heard it, seen it and heard it again. There are worse sins than being gay. Why not put someone else in the hot seat for a change....

Hmmm...God hears the prayers of a politician using the Almighty as a prop in a photo op as only politicians know how, but somehow doesn't hear the prayers of a mother on her knees praying for the safety of her soldier son. Something wrong here...

Obama is only doing what political candidates do...and that is schmooze whoever and do whatever will help them get elected. He's no different than George Bush who schmoozed the Conservative Christian Right ....and look at what we they got for their votes. Obama's schtick is just another day at the office. This is only the beginning and there'll be more, so stay tuned..LOL

Jeepers...all this haggling! If you want to learn something, read C.S. Lewis. He'll steer you in the right direction. Start off with Mere Christianity. Lewis had no agenda other than to inform....and the biggest plus: he was unbiased. ;~)
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
