This is a sad statistic, but we must not grow weary in doing good. We need always to be ready to give testimony as to the reason behind our faith whenever we are called upon. We must give it with the complete knowledge and understanding that God's word is the most powerful weapon and will not return void from whever it is sent.

This is such a sad statement of the times. Does this mayor really believe that God sanctions same sex marriage - or does he just not believe that God is real. This mayor, and all those who are rejoycing in his decision, will be held accountable for souls lost if they don't repent (as we all must do) and accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Rembember, mayor - it is a fearful thing to fall into the hand sof the Living God - but fall you will, regardless if you acknowledge Him or not.

This is to me another example of man still waiting to chose his own destiny based on his understanding of the knowledge of good and evil. I see this so much in modern medicine. If man had not decided to determine how and when a woman gets pregnant, instead of leaving that decision in the hands of our Maker, this world would be a lot less complicated and a lot more trusting in God.

The ignorance of Kathy Griffin's understanding of scripture is probably more a consequence of our not obeying the great commission, then it is of her listening to her own heart. What else would you expect an non-believer in Christ to say?

Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
