Consider the following Scriptures ---- Acts 17:11 - 11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. ---- Proverbs 29:25 - 25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

Reading this article made me think about the topic of "Division" and brought to mind ---- 1 Corinthians 1:10-13 ---- Divisions in the Church ---- 10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas"; still another, "I follow Christ." 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? ---- Consider the meaning of the word "Allegiance" - 1. devotion, loyalty, faithfulness, obedience 2. Syn - fidelity

The following Scriptures reveal a message of hope in Christ and transformed lives v7 - "You used to walk in these ways" - (past tense) ---- Colossians 3:1-7 ----- Rules for Holy Living --- 1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.

Consider the following Scriptures - Genesis 2:18 - The Lord God said, "it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." ------------------ Genesis 2:20-24 - 20 ... But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, "this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called "woman for she was taken out of man". 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

In my reading of the Old Testament, I understand the worship of "The Queen of Heaven" to be associated with False Religion and Idolatry. Ref - Jeremiah 7:18 and also Jeremiah 44:17,18,19 and 25.

Consider - Mark 10:6-9 - But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.

After reading this article the following Scriptures came to mind; 1 Tim 4:16 - Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. Titus 1:9 - (An elder)He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. 2 Tim 4:3 -For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. - May the Holy Spirit guide everybody to the Truth.
