Societal laws help to shape the public's perception of good and evil. Laws that promote immorality will further blind society to that which is wrong. Prohibition by society of a certain behavior by the government aid in decreasing that type of behavior.

Laws that promote or permit certain behaviors will lead to an increase in that conduct.

Prohibitions do work. Why are there laws against murder and rape? why are there laws restriction the availability of abortion? To promote the public good and to protect the sacredness of life.

To legalize sexual immorality is to promote degrade the worth of humans into things. They become mere animals who copulate. The strong takes advantage of the weak for their own pleasures. Women become mere playthings. instead of the sacred humans created in God's image.less
