    Nolalady,
I must say, that is quite an assumption on your part! Nowhere in my comment did I limit these types of behaviors to charismatic churches. These problems are evident in many denominational churches as well, but with far less frequency. You should read John MacArthurs book called "Charismatic Chaos" if you haven't already done so. You will be able to see more clearly what I'm talking about. I have worked with Paula White on one project before, and I've seen that ministry's demise over the last few years. In my opinion, it is because of their refusal to operate under strict biblical standards. They are deceiving themselves by following these supposed 'words from God,' when the words in question clearly violate scripture. I wonder whose 'words' they are actually following? Many (not all) of these types of churches forsake the doctrine of sola scriptura and embrace theologies rooted solely in emotion and experience. Their extra-Biblical teachings are leading many astray, and It is sad. My prayer is that they come to a place of sincere repentance and strive wholeheartedly to line up with the church model given to us in 1 Timothy.

    Graceman,
I understand what you are saying, but one must have proper doctrine to fully understand who it is that they are serving. For instance, Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses may feel that they have that 'relationship' and build their religion upon it, but that does not make them Christians. It comes down to a question of Christology "who is Christ?" If someone has a great relationship with a false Christ (such as mormons) then that relationship only damns them to hell for eternity. We must have proper doctrine and sound hermeneutics.

I, too, believe that Catholicism is a false religion and its adherents should seek repentance. One most notable point is paragraph 841 of the catholic catechism. Here is a direct quote and a source link...
The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."

The RCC claims to worship the same god as the muslims!
I don't know of any true Christians who would claim that.

'jesus4me' and 'dgnymn' are exactly right. People are flagging because they are upset the truth is getting out. What I don't understand is why they won't back up their statements with facts like the rest of us. That is very childlike.

'jreed831'... Can you provide some facts to back up your statements, or do you simply want to throw accusations around that are unfounded?

    Kevin,
I recommend reading the canons of the council of trent, because your statements are completely wrong. Even catholics won't agree with you on what you have said.

Obviously, this is a no-brainer. Christianity and homosexuality are simply NOT compatible. Anyone who believes otherwise is sadly mislead.

Mormonism teaches that Jesus is the literal spirit-brother of Lucifer, a creation (Gospel Through The Ages, p. 15) brought about by the physical, sexual union of their god, and his goddess wife.

    Amen.
Catholicism is a false religion based upon false teachings. In fact, the Canons in the Council of Trent don't even line up with biblical teachings. Also, according to the Roman Catholic Catechism, paragraph 841, they believe that they worship the same god as the muslims.

    Its shocking.

According to paragraph 841 of the Catholic Cathecism, the Catholics and the Muslims worship the same god anyway. Check it out at www.carm.org.
