Should we call in a Constitutional lawyer? Maybe Obama...? Freedom of religion means that Americans can choose to ignore the rantings of evangelicals like you who insist on trying to model a modern civilization on backwards texts from 2000+ years ago.

Let me ask you this! Would you refer to medical books written in the 1950s for your healthcare treatments today? Of course not! The ideas are outdated. Society evolves.

Same thing about your man-written text of the Bible. It represents the society of its day 2000 years ago. Backwards discriminatory, not giving rights to women, and hatred of gays. Admit its outdated, and contextual to a backwards time long ago!

Corporate America understands this, and thats why more and more companies are providing same-sex couples benefits equal to heterosexuals.

Hi biggie - don't let Believer push you around. Believer tries to act like he has a direct connection with God. You know what? he doesn't.

Beleiver's narrow views hardly represent those of all Christians. Believer only speaks for one person - himself.

I agree with you, biggie. Jesus never said anything about homosexuals. Why believer and those like him cling to this issue and trumping all others including poverty, the environment, healthcare, education, its just beyond me.

I support gays to have the right to get married. I am a proud Christian. Accepting loving gay married couples into our church will only make our country better!

Chicago24 - I agree with you. Society advances. The biblical passages are of enormous literature value, but they must be taken in context that they were written over 2000 years ago. Society advances.

Interracial marriage is a perfect example.

Wilderness1 - can you find the passages in the bible that segregationists referred to a mere 50 years ago trying to prevent integration? Share those!

Honestly, despite your claim to be all-knowing for the fall of civilisation, the root cause is in fact work ethic, economics, and military readiness.

I agree with RonWilson4u. There is too much talk on the Christian Post about gay issues. Why do we care so much? Let's move on and focus on solving the problems of poverty, crime, education, healthcare, and the environment.

Christian Post - please remove "Gay Issues" from your website, and please... please... please... stop printing headlines about gay issues. Why do we care??
