Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

It's kind of interesting to see how Satan uses people to draw a Christian's attention away from a problem or situation. I would suggest that we believers stay focused on the subject matter and not be sidetracked, and then destroyed, by ignorant babble. Take a minute and get a picture in your mind of a persecuted Christian, ask God if you don't know one, and he or she will make all other discussion pointless.

I drank Pepsi since the early 1960s, but about a month ago I read a report about Pepsi's homosexual agenda and I decided not to support them. After 40 some years of choosing Pepsi over others, I today am a fan of Coca Cola. It turned out not to be that hard of a decision. But what really feels great about this small act is I stood up when it counted, and I know my God is proud of me.

This sounds a little like what Dr. Billy Graham went through early in his career in the Chicago area. It makes me wonder what God might have in store for Pastor Tchividjian.

I met an Assyrian Christian in Connecticut and we became fast friends. When I read a story like this one, the Iranian brothers and sisters take a special place in my heart. This area has a very long history of interacting with God's people, so for their sakes I hope they remember both the wisdom and mistakes of their forebears.
Thank you Charles for a great story. Maybe if just a few more people witnessed a smiling baby we'd stop murdering life.

Great comment tpique1. I tried to mark a thumbs up but this system isn't working again.

Unlike many occupations, ministry can always be checked for accuracy and truth by studying the Bible. Apparently this is not a prerequisite for all who claim to be Christian.
Great advice. Thanks for reminding me that our God is always with us and nothing takes Him by surprise, nor is anything too great for Him to overcome. Really great information.

It's always amazing how God works through anything man tries to raise up. You have to really feel a deeper love for the One truly in charge.
Since I am not a scholar of the Bible, only a believer who asks God for his leadership each day, I'll just keep building my trust in what is God's versus what is man's by further studying His Word. Something I learned that is most useful over the years after having been mislead by a few so-called Christian teachers, is to always verify who and what you're being told. And especially since that practice is stated in the New Testament. It's also helpful to avoid getting sucked into nonsense on Christian websites where misinformed and misdirected hackers love to dwell waiting to see who they can misdirect. The key to all of this is to simply remember that God says He is the final judge of all things, so if you want to harm someone's faith be ready for what's down your road.

I'm always disturbed by stories on TV about Vietnam and telling about what a great country it is. The storyteller, note I am not using the word "reporter", tells about what great people are there, and what an exciting life they lead. There was one on just a few weeks ago about their food, and the guy narrating was beside himself telling how wonderful it was there. This nonsense almost always make me think of Christians there who are continuously tormented for their faith. God bless those like CSW and Voice of the Martyrs who are constantly supporting Vietnamese Christians.

I had heard a little about Mercy Ships over local Christian radio, and then I took on a part-time job with JC Penney and read in a company newsletter that CEO Myron Ullman was involved with Mercy Ships. I became a fan of Myron, who I assume is also my Christian brother, and even more proud of Mercy Ships, and my brothers and sisters there, and the work they do. I also met a dear Christian lady in Connecticut, a customer, who was preparing for a trip around Europe and to Africa with Mercy Ships. Our God is great!

Charles Colson and the folks at Prison Fellowship are always top of the line when it comes to prison ministry. They make me think of those like Peter and Paul who they themselves spent time in prison, and were both very constructive and very much witnesses to those both in and outside of prison. So if Chuck is for this then I have no question.

I am always encouraged by the amount of work ACLJ is doing on our, hence the Lord's, behalf. They really are our modern watchmen on the wall.

This is really great news to be reading. For so long we seemed to be losing ground almost on a daily basis, but Americans are starting to angrily respond to those trying to hijack our traditions and legacy. We've got a long way to go, and it will never be perfect on this earth, but we can thank God He's still in charge.

Pastor Warren represented Jesus Christ to unbelievers, just as Paul did in his travels. I believe there's something to be said about someone who criticizes another Christian while doing nothing themselves.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
