Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

**"Salvation cannot be complete, in an eternal and eschatological sense, until the whole of creation is restored to right relationship ... We anticipate the restoration of all creation to right relationship, and we proclaim that Jesus' life, death and resurrection made that possible in a new way."**
So until then, go and sin on more???
**"What we do say is that individual salvation is not enough."**
So Christ's redemption of a person is not enough, we must belong to a group to get group salvation? (**frantically** looking through the Bible for text about 'group salvation') Huh, and all this time I thought Jesus would be sufficient. I was in the Army, is that a big enough group?

(KJV) Acts 11:26..."And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."
Looks like Luke defined what "Christian" is very plainly; that is, a disciple of Christ.

I just can't see it... Holding a Bible in your hands while singing "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"... Maybe churches could offer cash for each verse memorized...
The difference between the Word of Life and words in a song is that one will save you while the other won't. If reading the Bible is too much, then it is time for parents to live out Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." The answer does not lie in secular music. (see also Deuteronomy 6:6-9, read it yourself, if you don't already know it)

From Thayers Lexicon at BlueLetter Bible:
Greek Transliteration "Malakos"
Effeminate:
1) of a catamite
2) of a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man
3) of a male who submits his body to unnatural lewdness
4) of a male prostitute
It would seem that Paul was referring to a man's actions, not his relative level of "macho"...

ICOR 6:9-10 (NASB) "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor {the} covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God."
Seems fairly clear here, as long as one avoids engaging in theological gymnastics...

What curious phases from a reformed theologian...
"if you will believe on him"
and
"Would you not believe in this glorious Christ?"
From John's own website, he wrote: "If anyone comes to faith in Jesus, it is because they were quickened from the dead (Ephesians 2:5) by the creative Spirit of God." It would appear that there is no "if I believe" if one believes Mr. Piper, since, according to John's website "God really accomplishes the complete redemption of his people from start to finish." There seems to be no room for "my belief" in John's belief...

I just want to know what one would pray in order to "pray them out"? Seems a bit presumptive to not just have conversation with the person and explain the conflict. Even Jesus didn't pray for Judas to be removed from the midst of the disciples. Asking God to remove someone from a church; it sounds more like a pharisee than Jesus...
Perhaps this...
"Dear God, in my opinion, you don't need this person in YOUR church, so please send them packing so I can do the right thing without obstacles in my way, such as this person who just doesn't get it, because I am obviously right and they're not. After all, I'm an author and a pastor and I went to seminary and I just know best..."
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
