tj, thank goodness I'm not guilty of that since God is by no means unexpected when it comes to issues dealing with His creation and He is certainly not contrived. As I said God has and will always be actively involved in both His universe and with His special creation, mankind.

gd, other than reading books and knowing some people from foreign countries you've never lived in a foreign country and truly lived in their culture. And yet it appears you think you are an expert on foreign cultures. Interesting concept.

dt, as I stated on this site, what this Pastor did was both disrespectful and uncalled for, but for you to say this was a "totally predictable consequence" to me is making excuses if not almost justifying this heinous and cowardly act.

gd, totally correct and so was this attack on the UN staff workers, but by your logic these attackers were justified. So using your same logic then the KKK would have been justified in the scenario you suggested!

  • Abortion and African Americans

gd, yes I believe both King and DuBois and many in the balck community were initially duped by Sanger and her group. And partial birth abortions are legal in some states and if I am not mistaken they are legal in Maryland! And the reason you have not heard of abortions being botched before 20 weeks gestation is because the abortion mills do their best to not report them or any botched abortions.

tj, but that is the reality of the world we live in. Our world was created by God who still interacts with His creation today and more specifically His special creation mankind. So it is impossible to leave Him out of any equation that deals with both His created universe and mankind. And because mankind has a finite mind there is no way we can always determine how much God is or was actively involved in the affairs of His universe or the affairs of mankind. But we know as a minimum He is present in all those affairs both past and present and will continue to be throughout the future. So to say God was acive or to suspect God was active is not a copout but the reality of the God created universe we live in. But at the same time their are scientists who are explaining these matters scientifically but also acknowledge God's involvement in these matters.less

wJ, your post makes no sense since in no way did I say anything about having to work to keep one's salvation and especially since that is not to be found in God's Word. What I did say is that many evangelical believers have joined God in fulfilling His Great Commission or perhaps you don't know what that Great Commission is? And if I remember you stated you are around 25 and yet you claim you have this vast knowledge of other cultures. And please feel free to share what foreign countries you have lived in for any amount of time and seen these cultures first hand? Reality is that every human being who is an adult is accountable for their actions and should be held accountable to answer for their actions and while in somes cases there may be mitigating circumstances we also need to realize that excuses come a dime a dozen in the world we live in. And having pastored a church near Fort Drum, home of the 10th Mountain Division I can say with all certainty that muslim extremists are definitely our enemies at this point in time!less

gd, what a bunch of nonsense! While what this "pastor" did was both disrespectful and uncalled for it in no way justifies or can be used as an excuse for what this group did. That is unless your saying that if a group burns the Bible then Christians are justified to respond in the same way?
