I've preached this sermon a dozen times in the last year, and some folks still not getting it. Parents that put their children before God...men and women that put their careers before God...or put their spouses before God...even preachers that put their ministries before God are doing no service to themselves,their children,loved ones,bosses,or their congregations or society... and definitely no service to God.No matter how responsible or pious people try to make it sound...if priority #1 is not God,then all priorities are wrong and we ARE GUILTY of idolatry.Thank you Greg Laurie for this post and for this "rightly divided" perspective.

As a pastor of a church that has shown this movie three times last year, I can honestly say that God has truly blessed and watched over this production from the very start.Every one that has seen it has been truly moved toward an increased desire to know the Lord better.I'm actually surprized that Satan and his disciples haven't come against it sooner. As I watched Osteen break down in tears on 60 Minutes, I thought back to a message that Kurt Cameron addressed specifically to pastors. Being a pastor myself I stopped what I was doing and listened to that message. He warned that not preaching about sin & the penalty of sin, and the fact that the unrepentant sinner would spend an eternity in hell is like seeing a blind man headed for a thousand foot cliff and not warning him of the iminent danger that lie ahead of him.
We (Christians) and preachers especially do no one any justice by telling them that if they would just keep thinking positive in an attitude of faith that everything will be okay.
The message of Jesus & John the Baptist is repent (turn away from our ways unto God's ways) for the kingdom of God is at hand( Matt.3:2 )
May Osteen be convicted by the Holy Spirit to preach the entire Gospel and not just the non-offensive parts.
Joel could, I believe, learn alot from Cameron and The Way of the Master.
