I pray that Michael Lohan has a strong mentor so that he doesn't wind up as other "new" Christian celebrities who, when they have been put out there as spokesman shortly after conversion don't last the year. Bob Dylan, BJ Thomas, Kris Kristofferson come to mind. Thanks for the great story.

Torus is correct about new collegians thinking for themselves. However his/her cynical tongue in cheek prescription if implemented will indeed result in a greater exodus from organized faith. Rather than the brainwashing, better indoctrination, and elimination of thinking that torus "recommends" I think loving your child and speaking to them about all sides of issues relating to issues of truth and thought cultivates a healthy inquiry and familiarity with ideas with which one might disagree. Exposure to credible role models who are not isolationist and unafraid of the discourse in the marketplace of ideas is a good thing.
