    Hi all,
I usually don't join in, but this "debate" is quite interesting. I was born and raised LDS(Mormon) and born-again spirit-filled in 1985. I agree that the Mormon faith is a cult, but some of you have inaccurate facts as to why. If anything/one takes away from what Jesus died on the cross(establishing a personal relationship with God) it is a cult. Anyone who has studied Mormon beliefs know that they put the priesthood between you and your connection with God. When I was in the LDS faith, you had to go to bishop for certain sins to be forgiven, but true Christianity teaches a personal relationship is established with God at the time you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, and any sin is between you and God! They void the importance of Jesus coming here and dieing for you personally. There are several other items that make them a cult, but that is by far the main distinct one.
