I am Catholic, after trying out different faiths and churches decided Rome was the best for me and living near Capitol Hill, where 8 Catholic Churches that I know off surround it. So it is 8 hills that surround Capitol Hill Whenever you go to the Fathers of the Church, it is "Roma Dixit" like St. Augustine said. And if you study them, not only "Sola Scriptura" you will find out that the Scriptures are full of errors and what St. Paul says, St. John says it is not like that and also remember that the Book of Revelation was written before the Gospel of John, so is John condemning his words and what about Luther wanting to take the Books of James, Revelations, Romans and Hebrews from the original canon because they did not recommend his doctrine of justification, which later was mended by the current Pope when he was Cardinal Ratzinger. And also what about the nuances of the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic, that were translated into Latin and still have not decided which words to use. Salvation whatever you do and/ or say is in the Catholic Church if you study the Scriptures right and church history right too. By the way, there is a great book, "History of the End of the World" by Jonathan Kirsch, about the Book of Revelations, recommended by Karen Armstrong and Jack Miles. Besides I do read the books from the 200 section of the Martin Luther King Library in WDC and soon will start reading Kathryn Kuhlman, which many gnostics recommend her and also Benny Hinn and many other people in the healing ministry. So "Salvation is in the Catholic Church" but remember the Church of England calling the Australian Aborigines and the African Bantu and other tribes heathen, isn't that tit for tat. "In the house of My Father, there are many mansions....."

I am reading Harry Potter right now, the last book and it is like getting awayfrom the world to a world where friendship and companionship and camaraderie and loyalty and you name it. All those qualities win against evil. It is a way of relaxing when you have the morning news talking about murders and other enlightening things to make your morning more depressing. Well these books are about values and standing on your own and with your friends and fixing a wrong all the way to the end. Yesterday while waiting for the storm to pass I read a whole chapter under a canopy that was going to be used for a funeral (no hole still) and then went al l the way to the LBJ park to read it. The week it came out all the 20 somethings that were there reading it even recognized me as one of the clan, but I was reading the Christopher Hitchens book, God is not great who gives light on the crimes in the name of God of all sides, not even the Eastern religions go unscathed and I like what he said about the kaballah and Madona. At church, a church lady and I had a delightful conversation about it. Then I went into the What is wrong with Islam and the way you persons are making this out is like an eluma saying to the faithful, It is fatwa/anathema and you are lost. What about all those writers of the Bibles, like Tynsdale, Servet, that were killed because 'somebody" did not like their versions. Here in WDC some of us try to be above the fray, we do not want advertising something and then finding it, that we have is Lousiana values. So we have to be eclectic and as a church leader said some 30 years ago, I read for the phraseology, not the theology." So let people live in a little dreamworld when we get is only fire and brimstone and the murder of the day.

It is not only this generation , older people to. Once I was talking to 2 women, one latina, almost a grandmother and the other one a young black girl that had learned Spanish in Costa Rica.. I am latino and they attacked me because they said they wanted choice. They did not answer back whenit as explained to them that women in Peru and other countries cannot choose, that in the time of Fujimori, women were being killed because of botched iabortions. Why?, because the Fujimori government and the UN wanted to experiment there what they want to do in the First World and betcha the Fujimori people were getting lots of money from the UnNfor that. Here they disinformed a poor young 20 something campesina and tell her a lie and then kill her the next day in a botched abortion. Why choice here, but not in the rest of the world???? And I am not Peruvian, found about this in a Catholic newspaper ,and the reason why Hollywood attacks the Catholic Church without mercy because they see it as their most strongest enemy in the war against choice/murder/abortion.
