  • Christians Urged to Boycott Retailers Banning 'Christmas'

I have to agree with smbga. Too many christians have made this a personal battle in their lives when, in fact, Christmas has nothing to do with our Lord. Most everyone agrees that, according to scripture, He was born in the fall (not in the winter). This celebration came about by way of pagan celebration of the winter solstice. Most of the things we associate with Christmas comes from these type of celebrations. Such things include the evergreen tree, ornaments, and mistletoe to name a few.
Moses came down off of Mt. Moria with the law and how the Jew was supposed to worship in all aspects of his life. Jesus came not to replace he says but, to fulfill the law. Our worship should encompass all things that are holy to our Father and that glorify Jesus. This commercial holiday does nothing to glorify Him. I believe there is a reason Jesus' birthday was not given in scripture. If He had wanted us to celebrate it, I think He would have told us to. Humbly submitted,
