  • Tort Reform: Remedy or Red Herring?

There is so much wrong with this article that's it's rather difficult to even know where to start.

The cost of tort reform in and of itself may not be a big portion of the total cost of healthcare. However, simply stating that is to completely ignore the impact that frivolous lawsuits have on the costs that everyone pays. Doctor's pay thousands of dollars per year for insurance to protect themselves and BECAUSE OF THE FEAR THEY HAVE of frivolous lawsuits, they order and perform many unnecessary tasks that cost insurance companies untold amounts of money every year.

There is so much wrong with this article...

1 - Biblical truth...I agree with this point. It has to be Biblically accurate.

2 - A song doesn't have to be profound. There's absolutely nothing wrong with simplicity. Many of my favorite songs are lyrically and musically simple (not that I don't enjoy listening to challenging music). It's simply ridiculous to state that some praise choruses are so "simplistic and repetitive" that they don't allow for theological reflection. I'll be the first to admit that there are some choruses I don't care for and are definitely poorly written by this isn't the case overall.

3 - Poetic richness...Well, it certainly helps for the words to flow together better but, again, this isn't an immutable law of worship music.

4 - Rules of good composition...Again, this is arbitrary. It doesn't have to follow certain rules except that it sounds good to the ear and isn't out of tune.

  • Why Some Great Churches Are No Longer Great

Some churches fall on "tough times" simply because they are teaching the truth and people don't want to hear it. Their "stats" may not measure up in this kind of survey, which is meaningless, in my opinion.

Good grief...Mr. Mohler, most dolls, Barbies included, are not supposed to represent the epitome of woman-hood. Dolls, action figures, and toys in general almost always have some distorted features.

Good article but I could not read the whole thing. The author of this article needs to learn the concept of paragraphs. Much easier to read that way.
