  • Christian Filmmakers to Meet, Clean Up Big Screen

I hope that Christian film makers will make powerful films and NOT waterdown the Word of God. I was so disappointed with Left Behind...here's a powerful and very popular story (on the best selling list) and first it's released on DVD first...that was some marketing genius. Then they didn't even use the name "Jesus" in the film. Then there's the recent "Sin Eater"...the "Christian" in the movie is quoting scripture that doesn't even make sense in the scenes he is using it in.

Can we make Christian movies that show that Christians are smart, bright and witty? Instead of stupid...like the one portrayed in Hairspray.

God is the most creative in the Universe and we have access to that creativity so Christian film makers should be TONS better at the creative process than secular ones.

Can we also make a good product...meaning that money is going to be needed to be put into Christian films. If we're going to compete with the secular film industry we're going to need to put up the quality along with great story lines.

I agree with an earlier comment...NO WATERED DOWN THEOLOGY! We have the greatest truth in the universe. Other religions aren't afraid to tell you what they believe and we have the truth. We should be shouting the truth from the roof tops and not being ashamed of it at all. Not watering it down...not telling half of the truth...but the full black and white truth! If Christian film makers aren't going to do that then they need not waste their time or money.

  • Evangelical Theologian: Bottom Line is Mormons are not Christians

Are you serious? Have you studied Mormonism and where it came from? Do you know what they believe happens when you die? There is also so much secrecy in Mormonism...Jesus was never secret about anything. Do you know why Christians left the Catholic Church? I wish those who called themselves Christians would stand FIRM on the Word of God and not their own thought processes or things that they've heard. Mormons are NOT Christians and it's also a very silly thing to think about calling them "untraditional christians". You are either a full follower of Christ or you aren't. There's no luke warm...ummmm...I think Jesus said something about being luke warm...interesting.
