If people are allowed to thank their parents in their speeches, they should also be allowed to thank their Heavenly Father. If they can talk about how a teacher or coach changed their lives, they should be able to talk about how The Teacher and Author of Life changed their lives. Why must the sharing of faith always be interpreted as proselytizing? It's not like anyone is beating people over the head with their beliefs. Sheesh ...

Think it'd be good if they addressed the issue of giving in their next film. With the economy the way that it is, I think it's easy to lose sight of how much worse others have it.

I think the stats make it pretty clear that the issue is about lack of education and not religiosity.

I think the timing of this album's release couldn't have been better. The recent discovery of Jaycee Dugard will likely prompt some people to look up "Stockholm syndrome."
garageguy, did you even read the article? It's not saying or even suggesting Obama is the "antichrist". It's just arguing against another guy's suggestions.

Adding to indochristian's comment (which I agree with), I believe more money and effort should be spent toward deepening the faith of people in the pews today. If believers are raised, impassioned, and mobilized that's when we can truly see a movement for Christ in this nation. In a nation where more than 80 percent of people say they are Christian, I think it's more important to increase in depth than in breadth. Just a thought though.

Hey. For those of you discussing about diseases, there's a new article up on CP talking about it. Might be better to take your discussion there.

Paul, I highly doubt Dr. Winter is presenting Satan as an equal to God. Sounds like he's just pointing to the fact that Satan can wreck havoc on a microscopic level as he does on an observable level.
Furthermore, believing in unseen "intelligent designers" (emphasis on the "s") doesn't imply that there's more than one Master designer. Because aren't we all intelligent designers to some degree?

This person obviously is in need of help. And I think that's exactly what she sought when she started up with her lies and even received up until she was caught. Though her method wasn't right, I think her readers should continue to help her and support her. People make mistakes. She made a big one, but still ... you gotta feel sorry for her though.

I think Ian is on to something. Not that I agree entirely with it, but it certainly was a thought-provoking comment.

Makes no sense to me. Of course it's fiction. Is there really going to be anyone who goes to watch this movie thinking it's based on truth? C'mon now. Give people a little more credit than this!

Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
