Speaking the Truth is an act of Love. Additionally, know matter how loving the truth is spoken it will still incite hostility from the world. The type of Christianity the world is fond of it that of the Liberal, Apostate, Mainline variety. These movements are filled with the world's thinking. The article refers to preachers on street corners preaching Repent as though this is being done in great numbers and is a source of repulsion to the world. The fact is that more Christians should be standing on street corners saying "Repent!" Additionally, the Biblical concept of repentance needs to be restored to the Gospel presentation. If you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, but you have not repented of your sins you are NOT a Christian. Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone that saith unto Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father Which is in heaven. MANY will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord,' have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?' And then will I profess unto them, 'I NEVER knew you; depart from Me, ye that work iniquityless

It is my contention that the same unseen force (Satan) that is inspiring, motivating, and energizing the normalization of homosexuality upon society is the same force behind the attempt to blur the distinction between the genders with the final outcome being the elevation of women over men in society, much to the delight of homosexual men who hate themselves as men, and emasculate themselves into an effeminate disposition. An example of another question along these lines is: "if a child is in an orphanage and only a Homosexual couple is available to adopt him/her would you recommend keeping the child in the orphanage or allowing the Homosexual couple to adopt the child? If such a scenario were to develop it would reveal the utter decay of society and the bankruptcy of the church to leave such a scenario. Such a scenario does not make the adoption of a child by a Homosexual couple acceptable. Elisabeth Elliot would not preach to the men in village church even though she was way more qualified then any available men. One of the errors in today's Gospel presentation is the idea that God has a "WONDERFUL" plan for your life. Because the term "WONDERFUL" is ambiguous it can start Christians off on the wrong footing in that from the very beginning they can develop unreasonable expectations of God. These unreasonable expectations potentially lead to disillusionment. Too many pastors want to be people pleasers which is demonstrated in their sermons nurturing ldealism in their hearers. Leaders need to stop making positivity the final filter for what should be said and instead should preach the plain truth. It is better to emphasize the down side of living for Christ so that when the up side is experienced the Christian is pleasantly surprised than to emphasize the up side which when the down size comes can lead to disillusionment and experiencing a loss of faith. We must be clear on what the object of our faith is. It is on God and His Word not on unreasonable expectations or catchy religious cliches from the Health and Wealth proponents.less

The open ended demand to love "more" will result in the bar continually being raised. Thus, this reasoning ensures that the church will be blamed because the homosexual does not turn to Christ. However, Jesus Christ loved perfectly and yet that did not ensure a positive response to His message. Why did Jesus Christ leave such a small following when He left this earth considering He loved perfectly? I don't see the alcohol, gambling, or pornography industries attempting to force their sin upon the church and then reason that because they are resisted it is because they are hated and their sin is being singled out against the others. The degree to which the militant leadership of the homosexual movement attempts to force and normalize their sin upon the church is the degree to which it is resisted and this in turn is interpreted as hatred and singling out one sin over others. No doubt Christians are committing the above sins but it is being done through the back door. The sin of homosexuality is being served to the front door of the church through no choice of her own. This is being helped out by many clergy in the mainline denominations who are themselves homosexuals and therefore creating an approving environment for this sin in the church. When a robber breaks in through the front door of the church during the daylight you know that the end is near. The Bible warns against hypocritical judgment. It seems to me the only Christians who won't be accused of being judgmental are those who are committed to the idea of acceptance, but have no place for the engagement of church discipline (1 Corinthians 5). I am afraid many seeker sensitive Pastors will interpret such polling data as fodder for them to pursue and continue church growth strategies on the form of Bill Hybels and Rick Warren. The media has been very effective in portraying Christians as anti-Homosexual when in fact we are opposed to the sin of Homosexuality as well as all other sin. A straw man that they easily blow over is the perception that all across America Sunday after Sunday, all Fundamentalist and Conservative Evangelical preachers preach against is homosexuality. I have heard a few Fundamentalist and Conservative preachers make a slight comment against homosexuality, but rarely an ENTIRE sermon against it. Homosexuality has been brought to the doorstep of the church through no choice of her own. The degree to which the homosexual militant leadership forces this sin upon the church is the degree to which it is resisted and this is in turn interpreted as hatred and singling out one sin over another. No doubt when Lot's righteous soul was tormented by the evil around him he was then accused of being "judgmental." It is somewhat ironic that Paula would make the following statement, "I wish there was a magic formula that gave you GUARANTEES in life", when the prosperity gospel she espouses says that if you have enough faith and follow the formulas then you are GUARANTEED health and wealth. It is God's will they say.
