Habitat deserves no applause. They were caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Shame on them for even considering partnering with Satan's babysitter. They "erred in judgement"? Talk about understatement. They willingly and knowingly chose to do wrong. A huge apology is due. Worse those responsibe for the decisions should be removed from HFH immediately.
Ronwilson4u -- Maybe these churches should focus their energy, time and resources protesting governments that torture their people by not allowing Americans to go in and help them after a disaster. Maybe the Buddhists should go back to the Far East and see the millions of lives that are lost and suffering unnecessarily when countries like the US are not allowed to go in and help.
Ask the Iraqis whose families were murdered and tortured by the thousands how they feel about the US invading, occupying and killing those responsible. RW4U, read Revelations if you think Jesus is just about peace and love. You don't even have to go that far in your Bible. What happened when he saw people getting taken advantage of at the temple? I recall a fairly angry Jesus throwing tables like Bobby Knight tosses chairs and borrowing a whip to do some serious scaring in order to serve a purpose and send a message. So, Wilson, if Jesus were without Divine power, how do you think Jesus would react when a captured terrorist was harboring important information that could be used to save thousands or millions of lives? Just "what would Jesus do", Ronnie? What would you do, RW4? Blow him a kiss? Buy him ice cream? Love the answer from him? Maybe a tour of Baghdad in a armored vehicle would provide you a better answer . . . don't forget to stop by the several hospitals we built and operate for them.

Cmon, m'blackmon. This is not a race issue. It's an issue about right and wrong. It's about a Christian org yoking with Satan's nursery. Don't misdirect focus. PP is evil by design and definition.
C'mon folks. Read the history books. What the movie portrayed for Christ sufferrings was probably very accurate. The torture He went through in the movie was not outside of what has been reported. And one would think that Christ probably got worse than most because of who He said was and because He was right. He wanted to show what He willingly endured for us. As gut wrenching as the movie was, if it was inaccurate it's because of being too soft.
As for not seeing it because it was not Biblically accurate, then I guess that person never sets foot in the theatre. Besiides, if he never saw it he really can't comment on what was in it and why someone who did see it shouldn't have. It's not like we are talking about a porn movie that we are certain is wrong because it's perverted on purpose.
Also, I took my kids to Horton Hears a Who today. Pretty sure it was not a literal Biblical account. But it was VERY entertaining and even had some great lessons regarding the value of life and that there is more to life on Earth that what we can see, smell, taste and touch. But maybe I shouldn't have gone in there because it was not right from the Bible.
The Passion had some Hollywood in it just like nearly every Bible movie. Even the Jesus Film has a causcasian Jesus with a British accent, which is not likely. Yet, that movie is winning people to Christ all over the world. But beware, it's not red letter perfect!
If you really want to get into accuracy, maybe we should start burning some traditional Protestan translations of the original Biblical texts than some churches say are the ONLY Bibles from God. Yet, most Biblical scholars will laugh at that. Even logic contradicts the accuracy of an English text for the ancient church. Some words in the original language don't even have English translations to match . . . Is that anti-Biblical? NON-Biblical?

Please! Do you really think PP's version works? Where is proof of that? Not only do THEY lie about what is right and wrong, but what they suggest to use doesn't even work. The science is pretty clear. You are pretty good about spinning the PP side of things in a favorable light but the target audience for you to be effective are those whose moral integrity is not founded in Biblical Truth. Since we have a Biblical worldview, your deception and inconsistencies are like flashing lights. While we really are not dependent on science or society to evaluate what we believe is right in matters of moral behavior such as sex outside of marriage, it's always nice to see when science catches up. So, far God is batting 100%. How about PP?

C'mon pgc! You must know better! Jesus and the disciples obeyed the Law. They wouldn't have allowed her to teach.
Just because she was inappropriately promised a position does not mean that it cannot be corrected by the next guy who might have a more biblical perspective. Do you honestly think it bad that he isbeing obedient to the Scripture? What a concept for a Theological Seminary! Biblical truth!
You don't like that doctrine? Take it up with the Author!
To chk555, AMEN!!
Too bad that so many Christians fail to appreciate and respect the beauty of God's creation. It's a matter of stewardship. There is no reason to be wasteful and disrespectful to His creation. It's not about the validity of Global Warming. It is about misuse of God-given (aka natural) resources. No tree-hugging or "green" Christian is willing to sacrifice a baby (pre or post partum) or put a reptile or bird's life ahead of a human's. But we also need not to live luxuriously if it means destroying or unnecessarily compromising what God created in all His glory over 10,000 years ago. One shouldn't apply stewardship only to their bank account. God's resources include your money, your time, "the cattle on a thousand hills" and the hills themselves.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
