The NIV or nearly inspired version is ok... but It leaves a lot of verses out and slants a lot of how they translated the Hebrew and Greek in a way that the original authors didn't want it to be slanted... For example, the people who made NIV takes away the emphasis on the end times from alot of the letter in the way they translate most of the words... so I won't use it, I would recommend NKJV or NASB, they are the most accurate of the English translated Bibles

    xizwyck,

Good point, God knows whats is best for us. I would also add though that most people bring it on themselves by opening themselves up to demons, by living in habitual sin.

We need to all support Israel, salvation came to the Gentiles to provoke the Jews to jealousy. That is the only reason (Rom. 11:11). God is allowing a veil to come over the eyes of Israel until the Gentiles reach their fullness (Rom 11:25). Israel is God's chosen people, and we as Gentiles have been drafted in. God chose Israel, the most rebellious nation, to show His faithfulness to the whole earth. We will be looking back on the faithfulness of God in the millennial kingdom and beyond, and Israel will be one of the main things we look at.

Yes Jesus did spend time in prayer and meditation, but He meditated on the Word of God. He also prayed and communed with the Holy Spirit while He did that. Jesus' meditation wasn't focusing on Himself, he focused on the Father. Plus while He was mediating, i bet most of the time He was in the third heaven (Jn 3:13) since He only did what He saw His Father doing (Jn 5:19). The point is that we are supposed to meditate on the Word, not our body.

I don't care what style of yoga you do, it is still demonic. It has a spiritual root in the Spirit of Python (divination) which is referred to in Acts 16 where Paul casts it out of the girl who was fortune telling. Whether you want to admit it or not all the positions of yoga are worshiping different demons. So whether you want to say that you can connect to Jesus better when you open your spirit up to demons it is still wrong to do. God hates witchcraft and the Spirit of Divination.

Anyone who can't discern that Harry Potter is full of Witchcraft and is of the Devil, Probably isn't saved... If You are saved and have the Holy Spirit living in you it should be pretty easy to tell that...

Telling everyone that they are going to hell may work on a few people.... But I think if he would just get some power on his life and get people healed and delivered, they would get saved. That is what Paul did. In 1 Cor 2, Paul said that he didn't come to Corinth with words of human wisdom, but he came with the demonstration of the Spirit and with the power of God.

The Love of God seems to attract more people than the anger of God... When people get confronted with the fact that God is real because He comes and touches them they have to make a heart decision. They either soften their heart and get saved or else they harden their heart.

  • Should Evangelicals Embrace Barack Obama?

Obama isn't the Anti-christ, Micah 5:5 says that the Anti-christ is an Assyrian which means that he is going to come from the middle east.

But I will say that Obama is definitely a liberal devil, who supports murdering innocent babies... so he probably does have the spirit of the anti-christ in him
