    Evolution is just as "proven" as any other widely accepted scientific theory. There will never be absolute proof for any of them...this just goes to show the ignorance the general public has of the scientific method. If anything, this should stress how important science education is...

    I'm not seeing the controversy in question at this site. Can someone point directly to it? I've been through much of this site before, and I don't recall seeing any derogatory or supportive statements of any religious groups. I have found an external link to the NCSE, which has statements from several religious groups and their thoughts on evolution, but that's it.
