Flagged as inappropriate. show The reactions to Michael Jackson and his life continue to be mixed. The implacable harshness of some is uncharacteristic of those who may claim to be Christian. Obviously they have issues in their own lives that have never been addressed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his children and his family. Michael gave a very stirring speech several years ago at Oxford. His speech was interrupted three times while he wept over the sadness of an inside empty life. You can read a tribute to Michael Jackson as well as excerpts of his Oxford speech. Many people respond to the invitation. Many people feel the pressure to respond. Many people do what everyone else in their row did - come forward. But how many were truly awakened by the Spirit of God and wonderfully saved from their sins through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ? How many in one month's time will wonder why the happy feeling they received left almost as quickly as it came?
Only genuine conversions to God will equip a person for heaven. Everything else will let them down. Pray that no one will rely on their experience at an altar because relying on an experience is not good enough. Relying on Christ alone will take a person to Heaven.

Joseph, David and Daniel are excellent examples of Biblical teenagers who knew their God. Encouraging and equipping teens to read their Bibles and glean from their readings, and to have an active prayer life is the basis of healthy christian living. If you would like a teen or any other Christian to receive a twice weekly e-devotional (Tuesdays and Thursdays) written with teens in mind, sign up for free BIBLE BITES at www.heaven4sure.com.

Thank you for this story. I have enjoyed many of John Stott's books and I appreciate his contribution to evangelism. His comments from those of other belief systems i.e. Hindus and Muslims are also very relevant. A young Muslim man, whose father was a senior politician in a Middle East Country asked me why so many who claim to be christians live like people who are not. "They drink and sleep around with people on campus yet they call themselves 'christians.' Nominal christians, they are. Christ changes life. No change - no life. Then he said to me: "I think if I knew that Jesus Christ died on a Cross for my sins, I would want to do everything to please Him and nothing to displease Him." If we lived such lives and walked humbly before our God and before those we are seeking to reach, revival could not be contained.
I just posted two Muslim to Christianity personal testimonies on my website: www.heaven4sure.com. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Prayer for Muslims is infinitely more effective than condemning them. Deeds and crimes must be condemned, but we must never lose our love for their precious souls. I have recently posted three Muslim-specific stories on my website: www.heaven4sure.com. I and 'praying' that the Lord will use them to win Muslims to faith in Jesus Christ. And yes, I have spoken publicly and have written publicly of our need to pray for the salvation of Osama bin Laden.

Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
