All of our candidates are Christians. But they aren't running to be pastors. They are running to be the president.
But if you must look at them through a Christian lens (versus a conservative lens) then how about this one. Jesus took care of the poor and the sick -- without charging them any money. He told us to "go and do likewise." (Also read Matthew 25) Which party more closely adheres to his words?
And please don't use the word "hone" in your reply to me. I find it demeaning and unneccessary. And I do hope that it is not your intent to be demeaning in any way.

Palin is not running to be Pastor in Chief. She is running to be the vice president of the United States of America. The job description and criteria is different. You need a broad knowledge base in U.S. History, both past and present. You need to understand the nuance and delicacy of our foreign policy. You have to be aware that cowboy diplomacy will no longer be enough to reestablish our leadership in the world. We need to learn from the mistake of electing George W. Bush. It's time to think like Jesus and not like a Republican.

Obama is a Christian. And he is smart. Palin is a Christian. And she may be smart about Alaska but she would flunk a high school exam on U.S. History and Foreign Affairs. Do we really want a repeat of W.?
