Believing the teachings of Christ and practicing them makes a person a Christian, not sitting in church. I attribute the divide "Christian" vs Christian - black, white, Methodist, Baptist all to the same issue. Some believe, most don't - but a lot go to church.
One of my favorite books along with Pilgrims Progress.

I hope people won't vote for Obama because he has no problem associating with people that are radical racists. Sitting under a pastor that is a radical racist should make people wonder about Obama's heart too..... but they probably won't.

Yes Barna has recently published a book focused on how bedrock biblical our current form of church services are, but I can't help think he is motivated by the desire to see all come to Christ. Our churches are so bad, I can't help think of when Jesus told the Pharisees they made converts twice as much sons of hell as they were prior to conversion. If you look at Barna's other survey work, it indicates people really want Christ, they just can't stomach the church. Is church really the way Jesus intended?

Dr. Gonzales has more than 60 publications - try getting a paper published if the editor or reviewers do not agree with you point of view. It is not an objective process. More intelligent design scientist don't publish because they are blocked out of the traditional process - just like get tenure at a university.

If you look at Dr Gonzales record of publication, it is head and shoulders above any other professor in his department. ISU denial of his tenure is just the same bigoted attack on a faith that is different from the one the University expounds we see across the country. There is no room for truth in our world - not when you can get your way by bullying people.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
