The California Federal Courts are not being allowed to put on national TV the gay marriage suit...... Men like Hannity, Limbaugh and other committed conservatives have been the Paul Reveres of this New Revolution. America has heeded the hue and cry. Onward, for God and Country!!!!

She hasnt broken the law. Virginia does not recognize any form of legal protection of gays. Neither does the gay partner have a biological or legal standing with respect to the birth of the child

Bob you are right... I sweat my sermons as well. It sure is nice when the HS hits me on Monday..... but sometimes I pray and seek and its not until Friday....even once it was Saturday...

It is very important to meet the people where THEY ARE AT...... Im in a church that is asleep..... I pray that God will do a work.... transform lives and bring them to a born again experience.

I have read a lot of literature on pastoral statistics... and frankly I dont believe them....
Any pastor who doesnt use SCripture to buildup Scripture in his sermons and starts telling life stories... Im sorry they didnt put much work into it......

I am starting to listen more intently on other sermons.. I listened to one yesterday... the pastor spent a full 5 minutes saying nothing..... joking and talking about a friend of his...

thats fluff... Charles Stanley has a great preaching format... He starts with a teaching concept.... stays on message uses lots of Scripture..and summarizes the teaching concept in the end.

Joel Osteen is an example of someone who is winging it.

I get about 40 hrs a week in. That includes nursing home, hospital and home visits.

Now I have noticed that a lot of small town pastors bartely even use notes or quote Scriptures in giving sermons.. I usually do a 20 minute sermon and use no less than 6-8 direct verses......

I have also read statistics thaty said 60% of pastors use on line sermons.... and plagerize......

I just dont see how small town pastors are investing 50 hrs a weekless

Jesus didnt negotiate TRUTH..... He was the way the truth and the life. Truth doesnt need to dialogue.. truth is a way of living... either you accept it or you dont.
