I think that Harry Potter promotes witchcraft as ok. Harry Potter is a brave, clever boy - and he's a wizard after all! The bible says, 'woe to those who call darkness light, and light darkenss', also he told us not to touch or go near the unclean thing or to associate with spiritual darkness. If it's not light it's darkenss. If it's not a book Jesus would read then perhaps we shouldn't bother! My daughter read a couple of the books, I didn't want her to read them at all - but she found them at a jumble sale at a Christian School - so I allowed her to read them, thinking it must be ok if it was for sale at a christian school, how wrong I was....not long after that, things moved in my daughters room - and her guitar played by itself (a few stings), my hubby heard it as well as my daughter. My daughter very sensibly for a 11 year old, decided she wasn't ever going to read another Harry Potter book again!!! Laugh if you like, read the books if you like, but in a home that loves the Lord, perhaps we should be reading the bible more and junk less.

Slavery was a terrible thing. But don't forget, in africa there were black people helping the white people to get slaves. A friend of mine who comes from Jamaica, won't talk to a black african because she still blames the black africans for selling their 'brothers' into slavery. Christians realised slavery was wrong - and they were the ones who fought to get it abolished.

Here in good old England UK, we are tolerance personified. The muslims say they want to work with us, but steadily they are taking over. Now, they want to make a call to prayer three times a day from the mosque in Oxford!!! Most muslims have no interest in knowing our God, or our Jesus as God, they just want to blend in and then once there are enough of them - MPs in parliment - important people on the ground - theywill change our laws and our way of life. I am not saying that muslims are all bad and wicked - just that their aim is to CHANGE the society that so lovingly accepts and tolerates them. We in this country are no allowed to discuss our religion too much with muslims in case we cause offence. It's all about political correctness. If you don't believe me, come to Birmingham or Leicester - come and see the mosques the muslims have built and how they are fully allowed to make the call out from the mosque to prayer. If anyone complains, they rise up and say - it's no different than having church bells ringing. We have to defend our society, defend our Christian faith. I read the Koran recently, the muslims have no such tolerance for us Christians or Jews.
