Blessings,
Prophet, good evening to you; it's been a while bro. How are you and your family?
I wanted to say that I agree with you more often than not. However, I must say that love is something that people have to will to do. Even though biblically his wife could easily divorce him for infidelity for his previous behavior, if Haggard has trully repented, though still struggles with his sexuality, it is true that only the Lord thru His Word and His Holy Spirit can break the bondage of sin in his life.
It will take Haggard surrendering that area of his life to the Lord. As for his marriage, if he has truly repented in his heart even though he has this weakness, if he is not "actively" seeking sexual relationships outside of his union with his wife at this time and "living in sin", then his wife does well in forgiving him and staying with him thru this time in his life. I believe homosexuality is an outcrop of lust among many. Lust as you know can take many forms if left unchecked- fornication, adultery, incest, bestiality, pedophilia, pornography, prostitution, and the list goes on. The key is, has he confessed his sin before God and does he truly desire God to change his abhorrent desires.
I believe ultimately, forgiveness, and reconciliation is God's ultimate best, but as you will agree with me, he needs to make a conscious choice to give this over to God, and communicate with his wife what his weakness is, and for her and the church to pray for his full repentance, and restoration back into the fellowship of the brethren.
At this point, hopefully he isn’t being deceived by the post modernists that have infiltrated the church with a more “liberal interpretation†of the Bible.

continued to 777:
We are seeing this right now with people thinking there is another way, or other ways to God.
"Those people who know about God and turn their backs on his commandments may miss out on heaven too.
You have to live your life, just the way Jesus did, because dont forget, we are only practising on earth what we will be doing in heaven, and that also is going to church on the Sabbath, the 7th day of the week, as was Jesus's practise. So please say NO to Sunday worship and YES to Sabbath worship, as it says in the 10 commandments. Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy."
Actually, the Apostle Paul cleared up the legalistic keeping of the Sabbath. As believers in Christ, everyday is given over to our Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ. So since the early church worshipped, and met on the first day of the week, that would mean they met on Sunday; so having said this, there is nothing wrong with worshipping on Sunday's, as there is nothing wrong with worshipping on Saturday's, or Wednesday's, or even better, every day!
Trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as the Mediator between you and God; get plugged into a church that teaches the Word expositorily from Genesis to Revelation, and then get to know Jesus your Savior and Lord personally; go love on people and share what Christ has done in your life with them in word and in deed.
Please read Romans 14 starting in vs. 5.
Lastly, if you are trully born again thru Christ, you will want to obey God and His Word. This does not mean you will never sin again, or rebel again, but there will be fruit produced from a life that is being transformed into the image of Christ.
Blessings,

"You know what, there will be a lot of people in heaven from other churches who dont even know Christ, or understand the Bible, because God is their judge and jury."
You are seriously mistaken 777. The Word of God says that Christ is the ONLY WAY. John 14:6. God saves us out of His mercy for us. He loves us because that is His very nature. He gives us His provision for a relationship with Him, and that is thru Jesus Christ. That's it, no other provision. There is nothing good in us. Apart from Christ, we are all doomed to hell. And it's our choice when presented with the Gospel of Christ to either surrender and believe, or retaliate in rebellion and reject God's Son.
"Some of the people who have studied the Bible all their lives may miss out on heaven too, if we are not careful, because God says that even the very elect will be deceived."
To put God's Word in context, God says:
Matthew 24:24.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Glorify God in Body and Spirit
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,†He says, “shall become one flesh.â€Â[b] 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body[c] and in your spirit, which are God’s.

I tried posting Scripture; apparently, the Christian post doesn't allow Christian Scripture to be posted. Anyways, I just wanted to comment on this subject. America is full of "cultural Christians" who think because they go to church on easter, or their grandmother taught sunday school, this is their ticket to heaven. Somehow, the survey doesn't surprise me, especially with the current trends in making Jesus more "socially" acceptable by watering down His Word and teaching a "social gospel", or a "seeker-friendly" gospel rather than teaching the Word of God from Genesis to Revelations expositorily. Many churches have become social areas to meet people and to have lunch after service, but there is no true relationship with our Maker, Our God, Our Savior. There is no true fellowship amongst the brethren, because people get "offended" when the Word is too "narrow minded" for their views. The emergent church is one such movement that is watering down Scripture and re-interpreting it for the post-modern world. They are decivers and wolves in sheeps clothing.

People; sin is sin. In the eyes of God, ALL have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. We all need God. God provided a provision for us to be made right in His sight - Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY mediator between God and man. Nothing outside of Christ Jesus will save you. Not the virgin mary, not good works, not keeping the sabbath, not tithing. A relationship with God is Only attainable thru Jesus Christ. God hates ALL sin. However, having said that, homosexuality is a sin that shows up when a society wants nothing to do with God (look at post modern America). Read Romans chapter 1. People wake up. Jesus loves the homosexual, the adulterer, the fornicator, the lier, the thief, but He hates the sin; those who do not repent of those sin’s and decide to have Christ transform their lives and continue to practice these things shal not inherit the Kingdom of God. We are born and seeped in sin. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before a righteous and holy God. We need a Savior. We need to confess our sins to God; repent/turn away from that which separates us from God (sin). We need to do this individually in order to be right with God, and then we need to accept (receive) Christ as Lord (Master) and Savior of our lives. If there is anyone out there who has not given their life to Christ; please do so. God is not wanting that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. He is patient with you in hopes that you will make a choice and accept His love and forgiveness thru His Son Jesus Christ, but you have to make the choice. Do not harden your heart(s) at the Word of the Lord. Repent, and be made free from the bondage of sin and death.

If we look at biblical history in context (not the liberal/post modern seeker friendly/emergent stuff that has crept it’s way into the church to deceive many), God sent His prophets time and time again to His people Israel. Many times the people refused to repent of the sin's they had committed before their God. They would sometimes stone, and persecute the Prophets sent to them, because they did not want to listen to the Word of the Lord. God was gracious, merciful, and longsuffering; however, there came times when God would judge the nation because they refused to repent. Once they cried out to Him and turned from their wicked ways, then God would restore them again. I believe that the world we live in is upside down. America is upsidedown. As a nation, the Supreme Court has willfully decided to keep God out of the country. They have decided to keep the 10 commandments out of the classroom, to keep prayer out of schools, etc. We are slowly going down the slippery slope of no return. Woe to them who call evil good and good evil. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but the Word of the Lord will not pass away. We should learn from Israel's example, and our once great nation (by God’s grace) will to learn. God will not turn a blind eye while there are millions of unborn baby’s being murdered, there is rampant pornography (the word pornea is the greek for where fornication comes from, and where we get the word pornography), the California Supreme Court has decreed that homosexuals can get married legally (against the will of the majority of the people I might ad). Extreme greed and covetousness has become te god of this nation. Today’s TV shows, and the music our kids listen to glamorizes the god of sexual promiscuity (out of wedlock sex whether homosexual, bisexual, transsexual, or heterosexual), and the god of greed, and the list goes on and on. Does anyone seriously think God’s judgement is not coming if America does not turn? It will come sooner or later if the country does not repent.

May we pray for this man as well as for this nation. We are slouching towards Gomorrah. The truth of God's Word will stand the test of time; no mater how many assaults/law suits come against it. The emotional distress this man has is because God has given him a conscience, and he is choosing to go against that which God ordained. Maybe the Holy Spirit has convicted him to repent and turn from the homosexual lifestyle so he can be made whole, and it is highly possible that he is refusing to adhere to the wooing of the Word of God in his conscience, so it distresses him. The Word of God will be abrasive if there is sin in one’s life, but it is meant to bring people to a place of brokenness and repentance before God. I pray that he will repent ad truly desire the life change of Christ in his life.

Romans 1:16-32
The Just Live by Faith
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[a] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.â€Â[b]
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible manâ€â€and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[c] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[d] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
