    Quecat,

I agree that there are some really bad games out there but that doesn't excuse what these people do. People make bad choices and that is all them. Maybe they see these games and it gives them ideas, I don't know. I don't really want to know actually, but these games aren't excuses for what people choose to do.

    Valkyrie,
I am just as horrified as you in reading this article, but killing this boy is not going to solve anything. 2 wrongs don't make a right. This boy made an awful choice and did some awful things, but we still should forgive him. We don't have the right to hold anything against anyone or to judge them by the choices they make, even choices as horrible as this kid killing his family. Valkyrie, we don't have the right to take this kid's life no matter what he's done. We may feel he doesn't deserve to live, but we are not the ones to decide that. God is working in this time, no matter how awful it may seem. He loves this boy. He should never have done this I know and I don't understand why people do these things, but all we can do is trust God in all these and other situations. There will be justice from the courts, but ultimately justice belongs to God.

    Citsonga,

You know, people are taught that if they act good and do good things that they would go to heaven and that is simply not the case. No one is ever good enough to go to heaven. It wouldn't even matter say if someone followed all the commands in the Bible because without Christ in your life, no amount of good works can get a person into heaven.

Christianity teaches that the only true way to Heaven is through accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior. When the Lord fills us with His Holy Spirit, True Christians would have faith in God because we want to please Him. Having the Holy Spirit in us, will lead us to want to fulfill what the Lord has commanded in the Bible. Just remember, you have to have faith, continually believing in Christ and who He is, and doing the works will come automatically because we really and truly love God. With getting saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, we are filled also with a need to tell others about Christ, to witness.

Part of that witness is telling and showing people what the Bible says is wrong and the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin and should not be done. Christians say these things not to but in anywhere, citsonga, but to show and tell people of the love that Christ has for them. He doesn't want any of His creation to go to Hell, so He uses Christians to show people the Word of God and to teach them about it. Ultimately, each person will make a decision to or against God. Trust me, Citsonga, you don't want to make the wrong choice and reject God because Hell is no laughing matter. It is very serious, a place of pain and torment. I don't want to see you or anyone else go there. True Christians don't want to see people make these mistakes as the people involved in gay marriages are doing because we know where they will end up if they don't repent, as will be with ALL people who sin.

    Agentorange,
You ask y God, if He is who He says He is, a God of mercy, peace, righteousness and love, would create all the awful diseases and black holes if He is a benevolent God? I am here to tell you that the bad things in this world and that happen are as a result of sin. They are not God's fault. This world was created and so were we to give praise and be in fellowship with God, not to die and go through trials, but u have to understand that since man sinned we brought all these things on ourselves.

You are right when you say that God is a benevolent God because He is, but He is also a God of Judgement. We deserve judgement because of the sins we commit, especially if we aren't willing to repent. The tests and trials we go through happen to try us and to make us into the people that God would want us to be. It is awful and hard to understand why bad things happen, but all things happen to the good of the people who love God and follow according to His purpose, as the Bible says. God loves us all and doesn't want us to be lost, He wants us to come to Him. and He will get us through and will be with us all the way. He never promised that this world would be easy. It never will be, but that is what makes God so good, because He has promised us all that if we turn to Him He will be with us and will go ahead of us thru every trial.

All those miracles and happenings in the Bible that Prophet told u about are not impossible for the one who established all the laws of nature. Miracles still happen nowadays, maybe not in big ways but all miracles no matter how big or little are important. Science proves and goes along with what the Bible says and so does History. By the way, the miracles that JC did are nothing like the illusionists people on tv. JC did all those miracles because He could He is the Son Of God. He did those miracles to show who He was and is and who sent Him. So please don't tell me that He just did magic tricks because He didn't. You know how I know, because I know people who have experienced miracles thanks to Jesus, God and the Holy Spirity. He continues to do miracles if we, as Christians, are willing to allow to work and if we have the faith that He can do what He says He can do

    SummaTheologica,

You don't understand something, God may have called Ted Haggard to preach, but He did NOT call Ted to sin. What Ted did was his choice and his alone. God NEVER called him to sin.

God never calls any of His followers to sin. He calls us to be in a relationship with Him and through to live righteous lives, obeying and following His will for our lives. Christians should only want to obey and follow God's commands because we love Him and He loves us. He gave us the freedom to choose what we will do with our lives, whether we follow Him or go for the things of this world even though this world is temporary. We are called to follow God's will, but Christians are human like everyone else. We don't become superhuman or anything when we become Christian: we are filled with the assurance and peace of God. I will admit though that Christians sin and make mistakes, but if we ask for God's forgiveness and are TRULY repentent He will forgive us our sins and make us as new.
Only through Christ can we have hope of eternal life and of being made new. He loves us all and wants us to come to Him in good and bad times. Even though all humans, including Christians, sin and falter, He will forgive us if we are willing to turn from this sinful nature and go to Him.

Becoming Christian is the best and most awesome decision anyone can make because we are given the assurance and peace of God: knowing that He will be with us in good and bad times if we will welcome Him into our lives.

    Citsonga,

The TRUTH of God's Word belongs in EVERY aspect of our lives. You can't say to God that He belongs only in certain aspects of your life because He wants to be part of all of it

    Citsonga,

For one thing, the word "religion" implies hoping that doing good works will get a free ride into heaven. That is what the major religions of this world say, but the truth is that being Christian is NOT about doing good works. It is about having a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY way to get into Heaven, yes Jesus wants us to follow what the Bible says, but first and foremost He wants to be in a relationship with Him. Just following the commands of the Bible can do nothing for you, but if u have the love of God in your life and love the Lord as your Savior, you will follow the Bible's commands and trust in God, having faith because you love God and want to please Him. The ultimate pleasure for God is when we have faith and trust in Him.

Citsonga, who are we to call anyone a fool. we have no right to judge anyone, that should be left up to God. Jesus loves everyone no matter what. Bush did what he thought he should do when the united states entered Iraq. I have to say I am glad we got Saddam out of office, i mean Saddam killed innocent people. Though I can say it is probably time we started pulling out, we have to get the Iraqi people ready to take care of themselves.
You know I am not saying that people can't have an opinion, they can. But nobody has the right to say anything bad about anyone else. You know, as Christians, we are called to love everyone just like God loved us, but that doesn't mean we have to love a person's actions.
Bush is our President for a reason, if he wasn't supposed to be there he wouldn't be. Maybe God was supposed to use him to get Saddam out of Iraq, to save people. Even though we have this war still going there is a purpose for it. I don't always understand it, but I know and trust in God to reveal His plan. We all should.

  • School Policy Allowing Bible Distribution Ruled Unconstitutional

All people and their kids have the right to choose to learn what they will in school and out in the everyday world. As for the teaching evolution in schools, it isn't right to just teach one theory in school because that gives the idea that evolution is the only accepted theory and that isn't the case. Creation is also widely accepted by millions of people. Why shouldn't it be taught in schools, considering it has been proven historically accurate?
People are going to choose what they want to believe whether or not it is right. We don't have the right to limit the spread of Christianity. I get upset every time I hear on the news or online about another lawsuit having to do with Christianity. Whoever says this is in protection of Americans' rights is wrong. They may be helping a portion of this country who don't believe in the Bible, but what about the Americans who are Christians. They are limiting our rights. Don't we have the right to believe in the Bible? As for those who don't believe there is any evidence confirming any theory but evolution, the Bible just so happens to be proven historically accurate. I am not saying this to offend anyone. I am just stating a fact.
I just want people to know that it is wrong to limit the spread of Christianity even in schools. Kids should be given a chance to learn about Creation as well as in evolution. I personally don't buy into evolution but all people have the to choose what to learn and what to believe.
