  • ELCA VP: Churchwide Assembly's Pro-Gay Actions a 'Catalyst'

This news is not news this was in the works five years ago. They had to wait it takes time to pressure and force people to accept or to replace those who stand against your view. The ELCA has rejected the word of God and their very foundations are posted or sand. Now they worry about income? If they taught the whole of the word there would be no discussion but as all they pick and choose what they feel is going to please those with the most cash and saly gay and lesbians have far more disposable income than most hetero couples.

It has been said there are three major religions in the world; so be it. However I must point out the root of those three come from one traced back to Abraham. That said I ask all to answer what religion did he teach? Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness; he had faith in God. He was a man who lived as the coming messiah the ways of God. His religion summed up is this love the lord God with your whole heart soul mind and body the second love your fellow man as your self. If one looks at Judaism one finds they do this even Christians do this however one religion does not do this. It justifies revenge as a decree and rejects that God say vengeance is his and his alone. So what shall a religion based on this do with a law sectioned by the world then do with that law. Can anyone say genocide....

  • God's Intent for Marriage

The state legislates who can and can not perform the marriage rite; yet the church is blamed for the stopping of and hindrance of these new unions. As we pointed out the church sanctities the state justifies. Those who are of the same sex wishing a churches blessing are for the most part demanding that a minister do what he is by decree ,church doctrine not allowed to do. Forcing him or her too violate sacred church doctrine thus the state is in violation of the first amendment. The church can bless the marriage that is defined under its doctrines; the state in its power declares it legal.
In effect the state declares the law of G-d too is binding and true.
Now it is the state who through the courts seeks too forces the church through back door legal actions too bless that which it can not. While the state has always had the power in and of its self to declare these unions legal; Thus blessing them. But the state can not force by any law any church to sanctify any other union other than that of one man and one woman. To do so nullifies all marriages.
The states are causing the greater harm for it in seeking these confrontations too force a change in the definition of marriage on the legal level while it has been settled on the spiritual level since the creation of man and woman. And confirmed by state law whether written or not since the inception of this nation.

Yes, one would expect this from a man who said his muslim faith has been a guiding force then retracted that and said his christian faith. Either or which ever opens the door. Once in the man of sin can do as he wish. We have only seem the beginning....

I note on each page there is little or no true comment on the subject matter or issue but a diatribe of well written insults and off handed remarks. I am sorry I find no real discussion of the issue simply ego stroking and ruffling of ones feathers.

God created everything and pronounced it good. It was for a time even after the fall, after Adams rebellion disease entered the world even that was not truly present until the time of the great flood then massive amounts of dead matter decay aided . Yes in a way devolution came into play the loss of good the corruption of good too the bad. Rather like the two choices presented one for life one for death. We are now the recipants of the destruction of gentic information which science calls eviloution, these deadly diseases grow stronger and change rapidly. Rather like a warning given long ago.

Six years ago I resigned from my post with in the ELCA over this issue. As we pointed out then and over these many years the teaching of our lord is explicate marriage was between one man and one woman. Have we as followers become more than our faith are we now taking the very thrown of the lord? When we listen to; then reject that which is plainly written, we become as the first who fell ; we disallow true grace and replace it with how we feel; we in effect say too the lord we will follow our will, not yours; you have heaven we have earth. No longer we will do your will but our will be done. We learn this from the gospel when he is asked about the law and the decree allowed by Moses on divorce. Then we have the teachings of Paul in Romans where condemnation of these very acts refereed too as choices is made. It seems that the many have chosen a very wide path and have rejected the narrow ways of the truth. I condemn no more than Paul as he says it is not our prerogative to do so. We can only judge those who are of the flock those who claim the church, if they reject the word as not applying to themselves or their actions they are not of the body. One must remember if one breaks one breaks all even in the slightest and knowingly to encourage and aid in ones sin and misconduct makes one guilty of their self same sin; their blood is upon your hands.Messages that contain flames, profanity or personal attacks may be edited or removed from the forum and your access to the forum may be terminated.
