Take a look at the bigger picture, as Christians it is not about what style of music one listens to, but the message behind what they are listening to. Here is an example of a situation that to my knowledge did not happen but is very possible. Say you are at home and you are listen to lets say Demon Hunter, a very hardcore, heavy metal band and a non christian friend of yours comes over to help you do some work around the house and makes a comment that he really likes the music you are listening to. At the end of the day you notice he is singing one of the songs, so you burn a CD for him. Before you give him the CD, you telling him or her that the band is a Christian band and what they are singing about. This opens the door for you to share the gospal and lead that person to Christ. and the only thing I can say about that is, that is awesome. As Christians we have a commitment to God and we are to honor him in all things we do. Various types of music are part of our culture and if we are able to put the Christian influence(gospal message) into that music then that is a good thing. The most important thing is reaching the masses. At the end of the day it is about the message that is conveyed, is it of Christ or not of Christ.
