Flagged as inappropriate. show Repost from an earlier flag jehova << the mysteries of GOD shall be revealed only to those whom He chooses to reveal them to. ...>> Without data, I have no reason to believe in the existence of a creator. If the creator wants to remain a mystery then I therefore have no basis to know whether such an entity exists. hide

<< From my point of view, calling this forum "The Christian Post" MAKES it a theocracy and this Christian forum should make every effort to adhere to God's Word..>>

My remarks were in regard to religion and government. The two are to be separate as the founders envisioned. I would not even be on CP if christians would stop attempting to impose there religion on others. Keep your religion out of the science classroom and you will not see the likes of me on CP.

Perhaps its you in the darkness of religious dogma.

    GMG,

The human genome is a long way off from being fully understood. My sexual orientation was determined by something other than my choice. In likelihood, by my genes as are most of by attributes.

    Delight,

<< A redesign of His Creation has been done! By the fall of man...>>

????, Hmm, hard to make much sense out of your post. When was the resign done? Doesn't look like a redesign if the product is the same- inherited "sin" from the adam's family days. Looks like an unsatisfactory design, according to your religion, if the creator is unsatisfied with how the design works. i would think at this point, a loving creator would have stopped production of a flawed product and done a redo.

    Delight..

Sounds like you want censorship for views you oppose. Where there is theocracy, there is censorship. An important reason the founders crafted the US Constitution to keep religion out of government.

<< Jesus did not inherit the sin nature from Adam. >>

Hmm, if the creator was able to create a "perfect" and "sinless" person, then perhaps a redesign of humans should have been done long ago. Since, according to your religion, humans have not lived up to the creators expectations a redesign should have been done rather than the continued production of a flawed product. When design engineers make mistakes, they do a redesign rather than continue the production of a flawed product. Logic and reason would dictate that a loving creator recognize the design flaw and stop production rather than allow the continued propagation of a mistake, which according to your religion, condemns billions to be tortured for an eternity because they are products of bad design AND do not "believe".

In regard to inheriting "original sin", there is little logic and reason. Its a bit like sending people to prison for crimes others committed.

GMG, Indeed, I agree with much if not all your post.

<< ....most people experience little or no sense of choice about their
    sexual orientation. >>

I agree. I knew at a very young age I was heterosexual, my gay friends tell me the same thing, they knew at a very young age they were attracted to same sex.

If JC, like any gay or bisexual person, was genetically predisposed towards homosexual orientation, then he may have been tempted. There is no way of knowing.

Flagged as inappropriate. show DP << An unhealthy relationship is based on control. God didn't want robots...He wanted relationships. >> And if that relationship doesn't meet the expectations of the creator, then the creator commits "sinful" humans to eternal torture, right? That doesnt sound like a healthy relationship- threats do not build healthy relationships. Behave properly or you will be tortured............LOL hide

There are no verifiable documentation that there are any contemporaneous writings during the time of Christ. Why no actual writings of Jesus?

There is no data to show Christ rose from the dead.

<< He was totally innocent and without sin. >>

If the creator could make a "sinless" Jesus, why not "sinless" humans? Seems to me that a re-design should have been performed long ago if humans are so flawed and displease the creator. Engineers re-design flawed products, why didnt creator do a redesign rather than continue the mistake, especially considering the outcome- billions sent to eternal torture because of the inherited "original sin" . Why didnt Jesus have offspring that did not have the "original sin" so that "good" humans would propagate rather than the flawed version?
