As an agnostic, i have no idea whether there was a creator or whether there is a creator, there is really no evidence as far as I can tell that one exists or existed. All I have to go on is what we humans can measure and observe and what science has learned so far is an evolutionary process has taken place on earth for several billion years, perhaps initiated by a creator or not. The fossil record and DNA evidence indicate common descent in the tree of life on planet earth..less

    pep,

< scientists are left to literally live and die by the popular embrace of their theories. Not surprisingly, this makes for a very paranoid, very competitive working environment>

looks like rambling nonsense really about nothing. do you know anything at all about science or the scientific method? Have you worked in the area of science? Do you know any one that makes a living in scientific research? Do you have any training in the sciences whatsoever? Based on your ramblings one would conclude no to all the above.

I have spent me career in science. Is it competitive? yes it can be, that's what keeps us hard working and honest. If you lie, if you falsify data, you will get discovered and you will get fired. If you make a honest mistake, someone will find it and it gets corrected. The vast majority of scientist go about their humble lives doing the best work they are capable of.

< left to literally live and die by the popular embrace of their theories.>

Where do you get this nonsense from, creation web-sites?? Can you provide examples?

< this makes for a very paranoid, ......... environment >

    can you provide examples?

on occasion, there are mentally ill scientists that come along, just as in any population. Bet mental illness among scientist is lower than that found in the clergy, I understand there are a lot of nut-jobs there.

In a nut shell, you and conner have absolutely no idea what your talking. as you and conner uses the wonders of science to post your senseless anti-science ramblings, we forgive you for your ignorance..less

It would appear you and ken conner are stuck in the same position as the catholic church and their ptolemaic dogma. Just as the church learned the truth can set you free, you too can enjoy the liberation of accepting the evidence in place of your dogmatic view of life on our planet..less
