  • 'Bible Across America' Concludes 9-Month Quest for 31,173 Scribes

    During the Year of the Bible in the 80's I challenged the church that I pastored at the time to produce a Hand Written Bible. I recruited one person per chapter.The finished product had to be bound in three large volumes 2 for the Old Testament and 1 for the New Testament. The total weight of the 3 volumes is well over 50 pounds and is approximately 2-3 feet thick. We provided the paper and had the volumes professionaly bound. A number of political figures and local government officials participated.
