  • Nobel Prize Winner Claims World Is Better Without Bible

The Bible exists and is the bestseller of all time because God is real, and archaeology and the changed lives for those that believe prove the Bible as true. At 86 years of age Jose is coming close to finding out the truth for himself pretty soon.

Question, you were a baby in the womb once. Would you have wanted your parents or parent to have the right to abort you no matter what the selfish reason? Or would you want a chance to live? The right to live is one of the most fundamental rights of creation. Plain and simple, abortion is killing babies. You can call it a fetus and try to spin it, but the truth is that it is killing a baby, taking a life. God has made his opinion clear, and his justice will be satisfied.

Basically, God never gave us the right to kill our babies because we choose not to have them. Abortion is murdering a baby. You can spin it as just a fetus, but it doesn't change the fact. Mothers wouldn't be dying if they weren't getting an abortion. Abortion is a selfish act by a person who went through the act of procreation but unwilling to live with the consequence of that act.

Well, if displaced and I lost everything, a Bible would be at the top of my list of things to get after food, clothing and shelter.

Catholics would do well to read the word so they can free themselves from the heretical Catholic Church and their man made traditions and rituals, most of which just work to separate you from your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Lev 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.

Rom 1:21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom 1:24-27 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

1 Cor 6:9-10 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.

The problem isn't with being a Christian or a Disciple, both are the same thing, one who follows Jesus Christ. The problem is with all these people who are deluded and refer to themselves as Christians and talk about Jesus as if they follow him. People that go to shallow churches with services to make them feel good, preachers who tickle their ears, who then go out and think and live like the world the rest of the week and never open their Bibles.

    Matt 7:21-23
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

    Homoousia316,

Have you been hanging around on the bibledesignblog.com website? One of the KJV only guys were going crazy over there. I've read the KJV when I was first saved, NIV, NASB, NLT, ESV, and I've done a lot of comparison. They all work for me. The real magic was God spiritually giving the men that wrote the books of the Bible the exacts words he wanted recorded. If there is value in anything it would be in reading the original languages and learning to translate the Bible for yourself.

  • Willow Creekers Challenged on Money Stewardship, Tithing

I'm conflicted on this topic. I do believe that as believers we have the most important thing on earth, salvation, adoption, reconciliation to God. And we should support the work of getting this message to as many people on the planet as possible. But I don't believe in necessarily doing the 10% tithe to a local church. I think the money is better utilized going to ministry efforts that use radio and television, translating to multiple languages into multiple countries, as well as supporting ministry efforts in countries where Christians are persecuted and really suffer to follow Christ. The local church to me, wastes much of the money they collect. You have this luxurious church building, expensive sound equipment....and our nation is perishing.

Also, I think the 10% is an excuse for many Americans to keep the other 90%, where they just give out of their excess without ever really sacrificing to help God's work. And for some new Christians in a financial debt crisis, they are better off getting out of debt as fast as possible instead of tithing.

We are no longer under the law, and we don't have the same society they had in Old Testament days where you had to support the priests when they fulfilled their obligations at the temple. Today, many pastors in smaller churches have full time jobs. And in many of the larger churches taking in millions a year, where is the fruit?

That's amazing that some of the people on that list would endorse a pedophile who sodomizes underage girls. I think it's a great thing they signed the list, outing themselves so they can be shunned by the public. Truth be told, I don't value the work those do anyway. I think most of the stuff coming out of Hollywood is garbage as this world's puppet master pulls their strings as they sell out for money and the illusion of power. The lake of fire awaits them.

I guess I'm Apostle Paul old school, you don't work, you don't eat. You don't work, you don't have health care. So along those lines, I have more respect for a lot of the illegals that come here and work hard for us and our economy. We should make them legal if they come here to do jobs Americans won't do. The problem in this country is that we reward laziness with no impetus on change, and have a part of our country leeching off the rest of us. I have a bigger problem with a lot of Americans than illegal aliens.

They just used flawed observation and draw false conclusions. I look at the natural world and see God, and God tells us so in the book of Romans, no one has an excuse to not see God in what has been made. And there is so much good science to support the universe as created by God. The universe is a dangerous place, and see how perfectly protected the earth is within it.

And with evolution you have to break it down to micro vs. macro evolution. There is no evidence for macro evolution, and science is starting to realize that micro evolution is preprogrammed into DNA.

Let's throw in some very good scientific work on near death experiences, and a doctor actually concluding that a few patients had witnessed resuscitation efforts on their own bodies from outside. They described those efforts having no medical expertise, which the doctor confirmed through their records. Many reported life reviews and meeting who they thought was Jesus before being resuscitated. The interesting thing about these cases, was the NDE changed the way these people lived their lives. And there were those that suffered a much darker NDE as well who also came away from the experience with a changed life.

If we are spirit and exist outside our bodies beyond death, doesn't that make any information about eternity beyond this life very important? Is there a God? Did he reach out to us so we would know him and what to do? The answer is yes, God came to earth as a man, Christ Jesus, and reconciled mankind to God for those that repent and believe in him.

Seems like this mandatory vaccination requirement might need to be looked at. I personally don't have a lot of confidence in a man made medicine. I don't think a lot of medicines are properly vetted, not to mention that man doesn't fully understand these chemical machines that God has given us. Of course if getting an exception fails, she will have to suffer the consequences of saying no.

This is a travesty for the family, but what do you expect all the unsaved people in this country to do? Without both parties following Christ I don't think a marriage works anyway, and it can be difficult at times even then. Most people are walking through life in denial being tossed to and fro, so how would keeping them in a marriage do any good? Failed marriages is one of the things that brings some people to Christ. No fault divorce is a symptom of a greater problem, not one of the causes.
