    Mike:
You are right! Its not a question of if but when. It will happen and the sad part is the US with all it's unrighteous power will lead the way! The U.S. is the two horned beast of REV 13. undeniably! We in our "christian" fervor will make and image to the Beast that had the wound healed. The last conflict will come down to two groups: those who worship the creator and keep His commandments and those who worship the apostate religion of the Beast. Here are the patients (endurance) of the saints, here are those who keep the commandments of God! and the faith of Jesus!

There is NO call in the Bible to be political and legislate chritian laws of worship! Jesus said MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD! There is NO Christian Nations on this earth and there is NO call for one. We are NOT a Christian Nation, but rather a nation of Christians. We should NEVER try to create a theocracy, nor Legislate morality. Follow the Old Testament nation of Israel---It did not work hence New Covenant! We have no good candidates that qualify as Christian nor will we.

Where do people get the idea the Catholic Church was in the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd century? This is neither historical or Biblical. Matt 16:15-19 is not proof that Peter was the "rock" Christ built His church upon, but rather Peter's answer to Christ's question "But whom say ye that I am?" vs 16: "THOU ART CHRIST, SON OF THE LIVING GOD!" see also 1 Cor. 10:4..."and that Rock was Christ"!

There can be morality and goodness without religion! What there can not be is salvation, sanctification and holiness. All atheists are not bad people. Lost but no more or less than some so called christians I personally know. My research has shown me that alot of atheist use "christianity" as one of there reasons of non belief. How can we argue wih that?
One "ideology" you forgot to mention John 14-6 is Capitolism! I believe it is just as evil as any. "The love of money is the root of all evil, right? I do not bellieve you have rested your case very well. Are you aware of the deaths our country has caused?

People do not read their Bible in the context it was meant to. If we all opened it with prayer and seaking of Gods will, not ours, we would all be of one faith. Too many divisions due to misinterpretations of the scripture. One God, One Baptism, One God!

The heaalth laws in Lev are still good laws today. Nothing in the Bible says they were recinded. The foods forbidden because they were not ever intended to be eaten. Where in the Bible does it say those foods are now good to eat?

Matt. 16:18---It was not Peter the Church was built on but rather verse 16-Peters response: Thout are Christ, Son of the Living God. Peter was blessed for his faith. Rock is the same as Christ in much of NT. 1 Cor. 10:4 is proof not to mention His Parables. He was speaking of HIMSELF.

How do christians unite under one banner with so many ideological differences on how to worship Him? If there is One God, One baptism and One faith, it is fair to say One path and a narrow one at that? So many differences in "truth" that there is no way all can be truth. Are we saying however WE decide to worship God is ok? I find that to be deadly wrong! I do believe there is ONE truth and the truth shall set you free!

The "writing" of Revelation is right. It is prophetic and its time line goes all the way thru to the end of time. Most scholars do agree that the letters to the churches are symbolic. The last church Laodicea is where we are now--Luke warm because we are rich in goods and in need of nothing.

Rev 2:18-29---Written to Gods church during the dark ages, specifically 538-1798 (1260 yrs). Jezebel is a figurative name proverbially used to describe an apostate religious power which at that time was the papacy. Her daughters are the protestant churches that came out of her yet still kept some of her apostate practices---mainly Sunday worship. Most protestants are unaware Sunday worship originated with the Papacy of which there is NO biblical support for. The Papacy readily admits this!

I can clarify: when christianity has been joined with civil power it has always persecuted. The papacy alone is responsible for millions of deaths in the name of God. (foxes book of martyrs for starters). I use the term christianity loosely- true christians would not fall into this catagory! However Religion and civil power should remain separate. Athiests, abortionists, gays are not infringing on my freedom to worship God. My hunble opinion is to NOT legislate morality, God will judge, Matt. 24 clearly states to expect this in the last days-I see nothing there for a call to rally and Win this Country back for God.

Just one more thing to my friend steiner: Atheism has no doubt killed alot of people, one only need to look at France during thE, however Christianity when combined with civil power has ALWAYS persecuted and has done much, much more than ANY other power, including Hitler.
As far as voting being a resposibility to democracy---I do not agree. Our forfathers fought and died for our FREEDOMS, freedom to vote or not to vote. Besides after the last two stolen elections by the GOP does it really matter. The powerful elite always will find a way to secure their agenda. McCain will win-more war, more corporate government takeover, more national debt, more rediculous trade agreements ect........ doesn't sound too Christian to me.

I'd like to start out that we as a country are NOT a democracy rather a republic. A nation of laws. Some good some not so good. In ALL man made governments, communism, nazi, fascist, king, "democracies" they all share at least one common thread, POWER OVER PEOPLE. True here too especially after 9/11. This country was founded on some christian principles-primarily FREEDOM to worship God. Our DEIST founders recognized that it is God who gives free choice. Unfortunetly the pendulum has swung too far from our christian heritage, however from the many books I have read on the subject, I fear we will swing it too far the other way and legislate christianity, and morality in an attempt to get this country back to God. This has been prophesied in Rev. 13:11-18. Can there be any doubt the beast rising out of the earth is the U.S.? I think we should have a tolerant attitude toward our brethern across the world, including the millions of killed and displaced INNOCENT people in Iraq, due to the direct actions of our country (bush adminstration and eventually McCains)!

Jesus said "My Kingdom is not of this world" There is no direction in the bible to mix christianity with politics! "Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasars and unto God that which is Gods". God is no repect of persons, we as Americans are no more special in his eyes than the lowest people in the poorest parts of this planet. Morality can not be legislated. History has shown Christianity to be just as muderous as Islam, communism, nazism, and despotism. Nothing new under the sun. What would Jesus do? He would not vote! neither candidates follow christian precepts.

You know we do not have to choose sides here. Neither candidate are very Godly men. McCain will win this Presidentsy, it was manipulated to run Hillary & Obama to split the democratic vote. People are now going to vote for McCain just to keep Obama out. politics is an evil world! McCain is pro war that is not Christian, I would think being a vet subject to torture his rhetoric would be to STOP TORTURE and End this maddening war now. We are going to have another Bush in office--and remember He was "christian" God told him to invade Iraq.. I'd like to know did God tell him to lie to Us and the world? Jesus said His kingdom is NOT of this world. These candidates are.

Based on Colossians 2:14-17, the ceremonial laws were fullfilled when Christ died. There is no obligation to them only the moral law, the ten commandments, are we supposed to keep.
Romans 6:14-15: Sin (the transgression of the law) shall not have dominion over you--for ye are not UNDER THE LAW (meaning under the CONDEMNATION of the law) Why? because we choose not to sin and if/when we do (incidently) sin we have grace. (forgiveness).
