I would like to see the trends analyzed not with regard to race, but rather with regard to class/socioeconomic status, and education levels. It seems that this trend could just have easily been attributable to increased access to birth control advice and prophylactics. Further info is needed to fully ascertain any kind of cause-effect relationship.

Typical right-to-Life attitude from Nebraska. Fight abortion laws tooth and nail, and then forget them once they are born. They shouldn't have had these kids in the first place. No one can reasonably take care of 10 kids. Nevertheless, despite having no support, no mother, and no job, "Todd Landry, director of the division of Children and Family Services, said . . .none of the kids who were dropped off had been in harm's way" Exactly what would you consider "in harm's way"? I consider these children to be in harm's way. They have no support, parental, financial or otherwise. Yet as is typical, once the fetus is out, and the child is no longer adorable, no one seems to care about the child's welfare. These children are just as entitled to protection as an infant. Perhaps society should take a little more time to figure out how to take care of our current population rather than try to increase the population with restrictions on abortion, birth control and family planning measures.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
