  • Slavery in the Land of the Free

What about the OTHER form of slavery. African Americans were freed over one hundred years ago but there is a form of slavery much worse. Welfare! People are given hand outs and they become use to them. As a result, they keep themselves impoverished if not materially most certainly spiritually and humanlu speaking. They learn to "hustle" the system and think they are wonderful for tricking and laying their way to the bliss of "bling." What a travisty! Why not forsake the system that gives free handouts, and become all that you are purposed to be in and through Christ. Start making quality decisions and assume responsibility for your own actions rather than expecting others to assume them for you. Yes for those who are genuinly in need and are not able to work, we Christians have a responsibility to love, serve and aid. But for those who are able bodied, we also have a responsibilty to love, serve and speak the truth in love and say "get up and do for yourself!" The Bible says "If you do not work, you do not eat."

  • McCain Wins Florida, Seeks to Reconcile with Conservatives

None of the canadates are good choices. Huckabee while generally conservative is way too soft on border issues for me. Romney is a flip flopper on social issues and McCainn is pragmatic to the enth degree. It's all about him and will do, say or be whatever he needs to be to be viewed possitively by as many as possible. If I had to chooseamong all it would be Guliani. At least you know what your gettting. Everyone else has a stealth quality that makes me uneasy. Right now if it's Romney or McCain, I will hold my nose ans say a prayer while voting republican this fall. I wish Regan was alive and could run again!

  • Cultural Architect: Why Churches are Declining in America

You see it's all backwards. WE put all this time and energy into the Sunday morning "Dog and Pony" trick. As a result we've leed people to "hot hogs" instead of "Steak and Lobster", figuratively speaking. What needs to occur is a returning to community/neigborhood/family based ministry where we live, love and worship as a family and community 24-7 not go to church and sit in a pew/theater chaor and watch a few people on stage/behind the pulpit. Christianity needs to be lived not observed!
