wow....Most of the world that is involved in the Global market has already started to use English as the language for trade. Which is once again since babel the retrogressive path to a one world language. And now this, with the Pope meeting with all the other religious leaders of the world...path towards a one world religion??? The UN, soon to be controlled by the EU due to the tremendous growth of power...path to a one world government? And the EU becoming so strong economically and getting rid of all local currencies within the EU...is that a path to a one world currency??? Don't wanna sound like one of the crazies out there but....seems like the current times are pretty similar to the events prior to end times as prophecied by the good book.

I kinda look at this at a different angle. If the people of this world want to include the union of two people of the same sex in marriage, then let them. Because we aren't really people of this world. We're merely pilgrims passing through. We know that our time in this world is short compared to the eternity in the kingdom of God. Just because our state calls a couple a "married couple" doesn't mean that it is also binding in the eyes of God. I mean, non Christians get married all the time in Courthouses and through notaries, completely in the absense of the blessings of God. I don't really think that these marriages are going to be binding in the Kingdom of God. So...let the people of this world have their "marriages," for we only care about that is bind in the eyes of God in the Kingdom of God.

OH pburwell, I totally believe in justice. But Justice is to be carried out by God and not by man. So...I think you are wrong about the Death Penalty being carried about by man being Biblical. Any true Christian should understand that we are not to carry out Justice by our own hands, Justice will be determined and carried out by God.
I agree, the whole ideal of all these denominational church just divides the body of Christ. The best way is just to go back to the scriptures. God gave us the Word so that we can read and understand it for ourselves. Why do we need a bunch of people interpreting the Word of God for us, when it is right there for us to interpret ourselves. I guess that's why early Christianity started off with house Churches. But in the 4th Century when these Big Churches developed and got into political power they made house churches illegal. As the matter of fact, Rome tried to make the translation of the bible into a secular language illegal in the 14th Century. Then even during the times of the reformation, Luther and Calvin, discouraged house churches. These were all ways for a group of "elites" to force their interpretations on the rest of us. I say what we need is more non-denomination, more house fellowships, more small groups, and more bible study groups.

Doesn't McCain support the Death Penalty? Last time I checked "Thou shall not kill" as still part of scripture. So...how does a televangelist go about endorsing a candidate who believes in killing people?
Sorry about all the typos before, I hope it was still understandable to everyone. I would also like to comment that Jeremy Wright has also stated many times where he thinks that the Jewish community was illegally holding the holy land from the palestinians. Now, I'm sure that any true Christians knows that the holy land was promised to Abraham's descendents, the Jews. And God always keeps his promise. So...I would even dare to say that I believe that in the eyes of God and any true Christian, Jerusalem belongs to the Jews. And the Jews reclaiming of the holy land is simply the fulfillment of scripture.
I think that His church and pastor too strong on their cultural zeal. The whole idea behind black liberation theology is that the bible is a story about the struggles or colored people and that because they have had so many stuggles they are able to have a better understanding of scripture than anyone else. This seems to be cultural pride that kinda steps over the line into being discriminatory. And as the matter of face, it would seem that many of the sermons that Jeremy Wright have given contain slight racism as he considers America to be "White America." And his infamous comment about 9-11 that "White America and the Western world came to realize people of color had not gone away, faded in the woodwork, or just disappeared as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns. Such comments would appear to be racist to many. I'm sure if we where to switch all the Whites to Blacks and Blacks to Whites in that comment it would be even easier to see the racism in those remarks. Now, I think that Obama has been smart enough to not get into any conversations publicly about race. But that leads us to think of two things. Well, if Obama "Spiritual mentor" has such a racist view on American and in Christianity, what might be some of the views of American and Christianity that Obama has. Now I know that Obama has stated many times that he and his pastor does not agree on everything. But if I had walked into a Church which gave sermons which a racist tone to it, I would probably not go to that Church anymore. The fact that Obama continues to go to that Church and has kept his pastor, Jeremy Wright, so close to him as his family says two things. Either he believes in all the things preached by Jeremy Wright at heart and is just hiding it from the American public, or he just simply doesn't have a good sense of judgement for his spiritual mentor and church. Either view would make him not very suited for being the leader of our nation.
I don't see what is the big deal with celebrating St. Patrick's day during the Holy Week. Did Jesus ever segregate himself with anyone during his life? Didn't he share his life and time with everyone that was willing to be there? Then why do the Catholics think that Jesus would have a problem sharing the Holy Week with St. Patrick?
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
