  • Episcopal Body Gives Final OK to Scrap Gay Ordination Ban

I thought it was about a soverign and holy God. I thought the church was to uphold the standard of God not the rights of man. Christ's words "the two will become one flesh" Mark 10:8. How do two gay people become one flesh?

Seems to me the greatest comandment is not to be used to embrace/endorse sin but to love in truth. Truth.

Talk to me less about the rights of man, of tolerance, of inclusion. Talk to me of God's holiness.

"The U.S. Army said the Bibles were never distributed and were confiscated and destroyed."

This is a very sad statement. Why destroy the Bibles?
Imagine, if the Koran had been destroyed, what would the fallout have been?

    great comments pgcfriend,

I grew up thinking that every red-blooded american male had the right to look at Playboy and that it was normal to want to do so. I have grown to understand that not all things in life should be tasted and consummed. As a believer I strive to guard my eyes and the images I see. I must admit it is hard sometimes and I have to seek Gods strength through the Holy Spirit to help me. Our culture is so perverse women and men.

This is the part that speaks to me: (corrosive effects of pornography addiction on marriages and families, such as increased marital distress and risk of separation and divorce; decreased marital intimacy and sexual satisfaction; and a devaluation of monogamy, marriage and child-rearing).

This problem is growing and needs to be spoken about all the more so the Light of God can reach mens hearts and minds.

    Delight gets it right.

    The world says:

A just God would never do that.
We are all children of God.
    God loves everyone.
All will be saved by a loving God.

The Word of God speaks the truth. Abide in it and hide it in your heart.

Burr, the only subset I care to be in is the one written in His Book.

Mike, we are indeed all God's creation however to be a child of God we must born again. The Promise (The Christ).

    Romans 9:8

In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring.

Many want to claim to be God's children and yet those will be turned away.

We all, including me really need to better understand God's righteousness and His holiness.

    1. We are all God's children. Jesus saying that he is God's son does not make him a hypocrite.

    2. Jesus was like any other main prophets in other religions, for example Muhammed. Both had a close relationship with God and was asked by God to preach to the people in their region, to save them.

    3. Jesus was the people's road to salvation, because indeed his values (God's values) would help make human beings happier people.

    1) Bryan, clearly we are not all God's children only those who beleive in the promise (Jesus).

    2) The other prophets glorified themselves. Jesus did not glorify Himself.

    3) It's not about happiness it is rather a matter of holiness.

I hope you will read the Gospel of John and I pray the Holy Spirit will move upon you and you will by faith believe and repent unto salvation.

    God Bless you

bryan90, I bet when you play boardgames you make up the rules as you go along.

We don't make the rules. Making up rules as you go in the game of life is called idolatry. God is soverign and Just and without the blood of Jesus Christ as a covering we will all be subject to His wrath.
