  • Barbara Walters Criticizes White House Biblical Christmas Card

Funny, we always want to vote for a President who stands for something & doesn't flip back & forth. Yet once elected, we expect him to water everything down so he offends no one. Ms. Walters if someone asked you not to express your personal convictions whatever they may be, you would be the first to wave the red flag of censorship & discrimination. Yet when Christianity is the percieved majority, suddenly it is "they" who must be censored to not offend others. The Bush's are expressing thier personal convictions when they send a Christmas Card signed in thier own names. Granted it comes from the White House, which although quite political is thier home for now. There has to be a moment where we move on. For goodness sakes.

I have done my research & I personally choose to support Duncan Hunter. You can check him out for yourself at www.gohunter08.com

He's solid on values, he has defense experience & is well aware of the need to be proactive in managing our trade relations with China (even before all the current issues were brought to light.) See for yourself.

    Consider Duncan Hunter. www.gohunter08.com

His visibility is growing & he just won the Texas straw poll. He's one to watch. He is a conservative Christian who also has a good handle on Defense & trade relations with China.

I am voting for him in the primaries & I hope everyone will take the opportunity to do their own research. We must be educated voters & not just blow to & fro with the wind of the media reccommendations. I'm not saying everyone should agree with me - just check it out for yourself.

Since when is a persons personal testimony and expression of faith (any faith) whether in uniform or not an attempt at governmental endorsement of a particular religion? People in any vocation should have the right to express their personal faith (any faith) in a respectful manner. Honestly if it were a faith based video from any other faith & someone in a high, medium or low ranking position was sharing their personal testimony it would be chalked up as "freedom of religion". My message for the ACLU & everone else is to use the same standard of "free speech" accoss the board. Give up trying to silence Christians just because we don't agree with your secular "world religion" & showing a double standard by "protecting the free speech" of non-Chiristians. Christians support freedom rather than oppression. We would welcome healthy dialogue with others. I have not read the other posts to this board so I am not responding to anyone, merely sharing my views on the situation.
