    I think our separation of church and state clause should be revamped with more specifics. For instance, I think it should be perfectly legal for a pastor to preach about social issues and which candidate currently running holds the social issues their congregation believes in.

    Where the line should be drawn is for a church to 'announce' to the general public who they officially endorse or for their congregation to actively campaign for and/or raise money for a candidate under the church banner. As long as they are simply speaking/preaching amongst themselves then they should be left alone. They do not become official 'cogs in the political wheel' until they engage the population at large and/or raise/donate funds as a church.less
