what is benny hinn, copeland, oral roberts & other televangelist who earn 100s thousands a year.
copeland's learjet could feed thousands already but...
this is only my comment.
why is it that when a believer sins, makes his own decisions, a pastors condemn & judge them right away. statements like 'you did it to yourself', 'that is not biblical' 'that is a sin'
but when a pastor sins, they will defend themselves but saying 'ye not judge' when they sin the same as we do.

so does that mean if we focus on the eternal we become irresponsible for what we have even if it is temporal? if you own something personal, ie like a car, don't you take care of it? if a person is given a car, he/she tend to trash it & treat it irresponsibly because they did not put the effort of paying the monthly installament.
an astronaut once said that we take for granted this planet. he knows what's it like to live in space with no air, no water, no food, (they have to bring supplies in the VACUUM OF SPACE) & no gravity to hold his body on firm ground. if his ship breaks down, he dies. this earth is our ship in space providing us with the provisions to live like air, water & soil.

if Global warming is a hype then
why are the glaciers receding in the north pole? or the ice caps on mountains receding?
the islands in the pacific like kwajelain is submerged in water?
deserts are advancing & water is getting scarce?
if you have a home do you trash it or take care of it? we can destroy this planet by dumping toxics in rivers & oceans, cutting trees, & polluting the air we breathe.
those who say that it is a hype means that they have a SELFISH AGENDA. simple as that

CEO? is he a CEO to preach the gospel of a CEO to run a business & make a profit?
that is not the case mr graham. christ WARNED his disciples about the 'yeast' the pharisees.
Malachi 2:7 the priest is the messenger of god & they have caused many to stumble.
pastors & priest failed to teach properly issues like humility, & relationship. their teachings is a 'blanket' approach. they point everything to sin. let me give you an example
1 humility - the pharisee in the parable of the tax collector & the arrogant pharisee describe the pharisee to LOOK DOWN ON EVERYBODY because the pharisee he is confident of his righteousness.
pastors & televangelist are very good in quoting the verses in the bible without proper explanation & examples so the believers would understand HOW they would treat other people. pastors would always point to sin. that is where arrogance & self-righteousness develop.
christ set an example of COMPASSION MERCY & JUSTICE to those who are suffering ( pastors would say because of 'sin' - like the neighbors of JOB. they pointed to sin for job's suffering). he even healed a crippled woman on the sabbath who was in bondage for 19 years even though a 'synagogue leader' said 'doesn't this fellow ( christ ) know it is unlawful to heal on the sabbath.
Relationship - relationship involves PERSONS: there are 2 self or 2 i. but pastors would say self is a sin; S I N the middle of sin is I. that is where relationship fails. HOW CAN A believer practice relationship when I is labeled as sin.
I becomes sin when he/she starts looking down on others, treating others with disrespect & falsely accusing them. that is where a person MADE A DECISION to sin.
another is if I is a sin, then HOW CAN he be a good steward. HOW can he take action in stewardship.
when pastors point every issue to sin, then a person cannot move forward & be what god wants or needs him to be. all they cause is bondage using fear, guilt, shame, & blame.

why is it when somebody corrects a pastor, they perceive that they are judged & criticized. but doesn't pastors & televangelist do that too?
so don't say I am criciticizing him when they do it too. and isn't that hypocrisy?
just because they are pastors of televangelist, doesn't mean they are perfect & always right.
even christ rebuked the pharisees for their hypocrisy. he even rebuked a 'synagogue leader for lack of compassion when he healed her on a sabbath. and when that happens, they get insulted & start labeling other just bec. they were rebuked. I also find pastors & televangelist cafeteria christians too. they pick the easy verses that is why they don't understand how life works. I have experience bondage instead of freedom bec. a pastor gave me a verse that cause me to stumble
malachi 2:7
the priest are the messengers of god. they should give instructions but they have caused many to stumble.

so pastors & televangelist are not people or persons too? you are right that there is honest appraisal of oneself. but not all people should do the self appraisal. the book of job describes that he was an honest man but his friends accused him of sinning that is why he is suffering.
in the bible there are 2 groups of people, the religious leaders who run the synagogues & the other are the ordinary people. christ told the religious leaders that the sick needs a doctor and rebuked them that they are a hindrance to those who want to enter the kingdom of god.. in the parable of the great banquet the great king invited the sick, lame, blind, poor, outcast.
I will be honest with you that I am too a hypocrite. but will this great televangelist idlemann admit that he is? that is a question that you should also ask bec. there is no one righteous, not one and that is biblical.

pastor idleman,
hypocrisy exists everywhere even at church & also practiced by eveybody including pastors. if you say to stop pretending, I guess that you are perfect & sinless.

The three most common weaknesses are difficulties in developing tangible resources โ such as funds, personnel, facilities โ needed to carry out plans; developing the skills of other leaders to facilitate more effective organizational performance; and developing the systems required to efficiently complete tasks.
the reason why there is difficulty is because the money that is given to the church ends up in paying the mortgages of pastors or installament payments of luxury cars.

Justification, according to the document, is the forgiveness of sins, liberation the dominating power of sin and death, and from the curse of the law, and it is acceptance into communion with God โ all of which is from God alone, for Christ's sake, by grace, through faith in the gospel of God's Son.
well, does that mean that the catholic church will remove Mary, rosary, purgatory, idols from within the catholic church & other 'teachings' since they say that justification is the central basis for salvation?

$130 million is a misuse & abuse of the tithe that mega church ask from the congregation. if there is an '"ABUNDANCE" of money, then something is wrong. the book of malachi states that there should be ENOUGH for the house of god to operate.
No wonder some pastors do not understand the complexities of life bec. their focus is on money not the preaching of the gospel.
all saints day? how were they called saints & who made them saints?
I notice that the opinions & views of some of the programs in the history channel are made up to sell their dvds.
isn't it unbelievable there are those who would quote the book of malachi (money goes into the 'church') it is either biblical or say that 'it is better to give rather than receive' teaching.
but when a member or a believer is in need & ask a pastor to give money, they would just pray for you. or quote a verse that god will provide for you just like he provide the birds.
wow incredible.

this is where SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING of your work is needed. but the problem is sometimes the suffering of others is used to make a buck. televangelist like pat robertson will use the book of malachi so that the doors of heaven will pour out onto the donors. but it ends up in the hands of these greedy televangelist because televangelist are narrow minded. they lack knowledge & understanding on HOW TO get out of poverty.
to believer
in the 10 commandments, the 3rd commandment says Remember the sabbath (which is saturday)
1. shouldn't believers follow that commandment of sabbath service because it says Remember the sabbath just like the last supper (do this in remembrance of me) that why believers practice it
2 and what i believe & remember, sabbath (saturday) was changed to sunday because of the resurrection & not remembering sabbath for god's creation of the world.
so it should be sabbath service not sunday service.
to canadianchristian
no harm done. this post should also have something like open forum of some sort. sometimes it is sad that when you go to sunday service, there is only 15 seconds of real contact with other believers when you shake their hands & tell your name. there are plenty of believers who want to be transparent & be themselves so there will be more connection & real friendship.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
