Actually, I think us christians have got to EXPAND our minds on this issue. We are stuck in the mindset that particles had to have come out of "nothing" Well, do you call God "nothing"? Point of fact, God is EVERYTHING. The universe is simply a subset of His own being. He is in heaven, we are on earth in the universe which He reclines in as a tent (see Isaiah 66) Just because we cannot see HIS world doesn't mean OUR world came from nothing. It came from something, and that something is Him! Quit taking the scientists bait and stop talking about particles as though God can be proven by looking at them. He cannot. The proof of God is "by faith" You either believe that or you don't, and "proving" Him to someone who is not willing to believe unless they see a "God particle" is useless. Let's elevate our thinking here folks!

As a teacher, I am alarmed at what the implications are of this situation. In other countries, this kind of persecution starts EXACTLY like this. Spurious accusations are made, and then there are a few "sacrificial lambs", and before you know it, all religious freedom of expression is extinguished. I have no doubt this man is innocent, and I hope that he wins and sues that school district for all he can get. His name has been dragged through the mud, and that school district deserves severe punishment.
