His primacy of honor, continued with successive Bishops. Clement was another great example of the Bishop of Rome's primacy among Bishops and this was still when the Apostle John was still alive. The early church fathers constantly went to the Bishop of Rome for final binding and loosing authority.less

Your name shouldn't be Objectivity, but Subjectivity. I'm glad you have defended the Catholic faith at times, and that is when you defend only what you believe to be True. You disagree with us on other areas, but that is when you disagree against Truth. Your position is not logical and one has only to have first year Socratic philosophy under their belt to dismantle your position.
What is your authority? How do we receive authority? Since you are not a Bishop of either the Catholic or Orthodox Church, and only the Catholic and Orthodox Churches have maintained the Apostolic Succession of authority as seen in the Bible and Tradition then what you say has no value.
Whether you agree with us or not, is quite irrelevant since you lack authority. I pastored in the Reformed Tradition for almost 20 years and have read a wide array of positions, and after much research and prayer the Catholic Church is right on every doctrine and every moral position.less
The Death penalty is wrong in 99% of cases. Only in extreme cases, where the person imprisoned may escape and hurt or kill others should the death penalty be used. Today's prisons are almost impossible to escape, therefore, give the murderer life in prison. This may give them enough time to repent and seek God's forgiveness.

Every women who enters a pro-life clinic will see her baby on the ultra-sound, and we will make sure she will have all the care she needs to have the baby. We will also make sure if she wants to have the baby adopted that we help her with everything, to make the process so easy for her. May God bless all the women who have been victimized through our liberal culture of death.less

Now, as a Catholic I attend the San Francisco event every few years. You can still tell that 80% of the crowd is Catholic without question. This year I attended our March for Life in Washington State and we had 7,000 people March. In this crowd I would say 90% was Catholic.
I can't wait for the day when Evangelicals and Protestants come out with more numbers! Let us work together to end Abortion.less

Garments worn by Saints, their bones, etc can heal the sick and cause sinners to seek Christ more deeply. The earliest christians venerated Paul and Peter's bones as they did all the rest of the apostles. This is what the earliest christians did and this is why a Catholic church is built over their bones, to honor them who served Christ.less

For those who may not be familiar with it, the Annuario Pontificio, or Pontifical Yearbook, is an annual publication of the Central Office of Church Statistics in the Vatican that offers remarkable details on the Holy See, the Roman Curia (or central government of the Church), bishops and dioceses all around the world, and even a listing of every monsignor currently in service.
First, the Annuario for 2010 tells us that the number of Catholics has increased worldwide, (up 1.7%) to 1.166 billion baptized Catholics worldwide; there is also an increase in the percentage of Catholics who make up the global population (from 17.33% to 17.40%).
And here is the really relevant part: There was a slight increase (around 1% between 2000 and 2008) in the number of diocesan and religious priests, from 405,178 in 2000 to 409,166 in 2008
The really good news, however, is the world’s numbers of candidates for the priesthood. We have heard about and even seen slight upticks in the number of new seminarians over the last years, but the 2010 Annuario helps to confirm the increase. It may not seem a huge bump (rising from 115,919 in 2007 to 117,024 in 2008, or an increase of 1%).less

Maybe the children can evangelize their same sex parents to the Truth? All I know is that I can't believe this woman wants her child to go to a Catholic school when she knows good and well what we teach and we won't cave in. We will still teach the Truth even if their child must hear that their parents are in a disordered and repugnant relationship.
I feel a lot of empathy for the child. Gays should never have children together through adoption or invitro.less
This Rev. Cutie, was not so Cute after all. Yes, he did have issues with the Catholic Church; Our stance against homosexual relationships, women in ministry, actively gay ministers, our unwillingness to allow gays to adopt, our staunch defense of life and marriage. Nuns still wear habbits but they don't have to since it is not a sacred Tradition, Saturday night being the Eve of Sunday was always considered the Lord's day(Jewish custom)dating back to the first century. Orthodox, Catholics and Coptics all do this too. The amount of time for fasting from food was an hour, but this is a custom and not sacred so this can change. Going to confession for venial sins is a good thing, but not mandatory since in the Mass we are forgiven of our venial sins before the Liturgy.
Some practices that are man made do change, but Sacred things like the Mass in their rubrics do not since it is not ours' to change. It was given in Tradition to us from God, so those parts may never change.less

For 1000 years all that existed was Catholicism and then the schism where West and East split. The Catholic Church is the original home to every Christian and most all you believe was defined authoritatively by the Catholic Church. It was Catholic authority and tradition guided by the Holy Spirit that defined the 27 books of the New Testament.
Non-Denominationals, Baptists and Pentecostals will not be able to come to the Communion table, because they hold too meny heterodox beliefs. Lutherans, Anglicans, Methodists, Reformed and Presbyterians all have a good opportunity to enjoying the fullness of Truth back in the Catholic Church as they all slowly but surely come home praise God.less
