  • Obama to Have Tough Time Regaining Grassroots Support, Says Christian Group

Please, let us put this national nightmare to rest. Get back to values, America, and back to discernment. May the Lord grant mercy by raising up a viable and competent opponent to Obama and all he stands for. 2Chr 7.14

  • Taliban Militants Bomb Muslim Shrine in Pakistan, Kill 42

The article fails to bring out the salient point that Sufis are regarded as apostates by radical Muslims. Thus there is an element of rational error to these actions, and it is an element that you will never divorce from Islam. People who promote the PC "religion of peace" delusion, take note.

Burning the Quran puts the backwardness in stark contrast with civilized values, but it does not provide a way forward.less

  • Must a Pastor Be Married? The New York Times Asks the Question

"It does not say, “if married, the husband of one wife.” - No it doesn't, but that's precisely what it means. You're being far too literal. Paul speaks elsewhere of his right, not his necessity, to lead a sister as a wife, and indeed Paul was not married at that stage of his life, if ever. The problem is our rigid church structure. Why are we even hiring outside pastors? We should be raising them up from the congregation, where we know their lives. Leaving the NT pattern is precisely why the church has become weak, confused and irrelevant.less

  • Apple Pulls 'Gay Cure' App; Accused of Religious Discrimination

  • Psychologist: Retaliation in Bully Video Sends Violent Message

"Experts" have ruined our culture. A more "incremental" response might have been ideal, but the important thing was that the kid came out of himself in a crisis. Funny how the man in the street got that intuitively with no problem, but the PHD misses the point and goes for esoterica.

  • This Priest Faces Mecca? A Parable of Confusion

There's nothing wrong with adopting the lifestyle of a religion to see how it "fits". That's not necessarily a post-modern sin, as Mohler asserts. We're not given enough info here to judge, though it doesn't look good. God can use anything to draw people to Himself. Hopefully this dalliance will bring the pastor to his senses.less

  • One-Armed Surfing Star Bethany Hamilton on Trusting God

Amazing. Bethany lost an arm, and yet she glows. But some of the posters here lost their hearts, and it shows. Now who's the cripple? God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise; the weak to defeat the strong. God bless you, Bethany. Keep shining for Jesus.

  • Two Christians Killed Outside Church in Pakistan

This is more than a story about a failed nation, even if that nation has nuclear arms. It is a story about what Islam does to men's hearts, and what, unbridled, it will do to a nation. May the Lord grant peace to His saints. And may the West wake up.

  • Pastor Contests Claims of Spiritual Revival in Brazil

In Jn. 6, Jesus revealed that the people there had followed Him because He had given them bread. But He did not condemn them. The challenge is to mature in faith. Some revival converts will; others might not. Revival always casts a wide net. I'd hate to see it replaced by a dry doctrinalistic form of religion. One can go off the road on either side.
